Customer Reviews

Fuego Reconditioned 9 Amp Reciprocating Saw is rated 3.8 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buy it! There must be a lot of people who really don't like Ridgid out there. I read the reviews and almost didn't buy this saw. I have used this saw a lot for the past few months and have had no Robles with the blade falling out of the chuck. My advice is if you don't know how to use a tool properly, read the manual. I have had a great experience using Ridgid tools so far, and this saw is no exception. Follow their instructions to obtain warranty and it's worth the work. This saw is comfortable in the hand, not too heavy and cuts nice and smoothly. I use diablo blades in it and it works like a charm.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good thing it has a lifetime warranty Everything I have a project and go to find this saw it is in the shop being repaired. I get it back only for the same issues to happen again and send it back to the shop. Anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks for a repair. I will never buy another rigid tool. Lifetime warranty isn't worth the headaches and you need to have a spare on hand anyway.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Needs minor improvements This saw seems to be well built with one minor evception. The tool-less blade change has the same problem as Milwalkee saws. If the blade binds when cutting wood, or if you are cutting medium to thick steel (even with proper blade for job) the blade will come out. I think increasing the strength of the springs for both the rotating blade change and the ball bearing, if equipped, would fix this problem. Never had this problem with my previous DeWalt saw; which is the same price, but so far am happy with this saw overall. Will have to purchase another DeWalt since my job requires cutting metal, and using this saw would not be efficient for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tool. I've had this for about 2 years. And I'll be honest I've beat it up and never had any issues. I read a review saying the opposite but I have never had a blade bind up or any other problems. I have a replacent blade as well but am still going on the original even for removing the sub floor in the bathroom on my latest remodel. So glad I got this model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product has been very reliable The saw has been very good at cutting all types of materials. It has cut wood, copper pipe, steel pipe, and cast iron. It has performed very well in all possible situations that it has been needed to complete a job. I also like the warranty that I have not needed but it is there if needed if a problem comes up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super product! I have used my recip saw on several occasions and love it. It's so easy to use and does the job well! I can't imagine what I would do without it. It's so convenient and allows me to get into small spaces. Love it and have recommended it to several friends since purchasing it.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Can't hold a blade I had this saw for one hour. Worked for about 30 minutes. Then the blade started ejecting. The chuck would not keep the blade in. I was cutting through a plaster wall with a carbide tipped blade. It kept releasing the blade. After 15 times of this happening I returned this saw. The power was great, and the orbital action was nice. But you can't have a blade kicking out. It leaves the blade in the material being cut. Sometimes you can just pull it out---if the blade is not HOT--- Other times you need to get pliers to remove the blade. Only one other saw I have used had this same problem. I ended up getting the cordless Ridgid Recip saw - only because it had a different style chuck. I never thought that a cordless saw would out-do a corded saw. Go for the cordless to avoid the blade lock issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just as good as a Milwaukee I've had this for 4 or 5 years now and I have cut just about everything imaginable from pine to oak, aluminum, copper, steel, you name it, I even threw in a 9" Dialblo blade and cut down a tree branch around 6 1/2" thick, With the right blade for the right application this saw will cut through just about anything you throw at it.
