Customer Reviews

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 20 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Needs minor improvements This saw seems to be well built with one minor evception. The tool-less blade change has the same problem as Milwalkee saws. If the blade binds when cutting wood, or if you are cutting medium to thick steel (even with proper blade for job) the blade will come out. I think increasing the strength of the springs for both the rotating blade change and the ball bearing, if equipped, would fix this problem. Never had this problem with my previous DeWalt saw; which is the same price, but so far am happy with this saw overall. Will have to purchase another DeWalt since my job requires cutting metal, and using this saw would not be efficient for that. October 17, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor Design This saw has good power and features, the lifetime warranty is also very good. Unfortunately the saw does not function well. It will not hold a blade in the chuck, and the blades will continuously pop out of the saw under load. After spending more time fetching blades out of the kerf than actually cutting, I returned the saw and bought a Milwaukee. A much better design, and if you can live without the lifetime warranty, the price point was only $12 more for the Milwaukee. Do not buy this saw. July 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by lightweight, balanced, adjustable speed and powerful I use this saw for so many different projects. I have a larger saw of a different brand and it's okay, but, the weight makes it cumbersome after a while. The Ridgid saw does the same work with much more ease on my arms especially while cutting overhead. I am a former boilermaker who worked plant maintenance and was also the purchaser of the majority of tools used at our site. I had already many personal Ridgid tools of my own and liked the dependability of the ones I had. I purchased many tools from our industrial supplier and never had a regret. November 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Just as good as a Milwaukee I've had this for 4 or 5 years now and I have cut just about everything imaginable from pine to oak, aluminum, copper, steel, you name it, I even threw in a 9" Dialblo blade and cut down a tree branch around 6 1/2" thick, With the right blade for the right application this saw will cut through just about anything you throw at it. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Got the power I need.. Got the power I needed and for the price..no complain. I already have some other Rigid tools and I liked them all. November 10, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Can't hold a blade I had this saw for one hour. Worked for about 30 minutes. Then the blade started ejecting. The chuck would not keep the blade in. I was cutting through a plaster wall with a carbide tipped blade. It kept releasing the blade. After 15 times of this happening I returned this saw. The power was great, and the orbital action was nice. But you can't have a blade kicking out. It leaves the blade in the material being cut. Sometimes you can just pull it out---if the blade is not HOT--- Other times you need to get pliers to remove the blade. Only one other saw I have used had this same problem. I ended up getting the cordless Ridgid Recip saw - only because it had a different style chuck. I never thought that a cordless saw would out-do a corded saw. Go for the cordless to avoid the blade lock issue. September 12, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by very good very good working i like 9-Amp Fuego Reconditioned Reciprocating Saw tool October 1, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great tool. I've had this for about 2 years. And I'll be honest I've beat it up and never had any issues. I read a review saying the opposite but I have never had a blade bind up or any other problems. I have a replacent blade as well but am still going on the original even for removing the sub floor in the bathroom on my latest remodel. So glad I got this model. November 24, 2014
