Answer:
It will depend on the size of the nail , their location & how many nails you are trying to cut through at one time. The blades are reasonably durable. I have only used the blade to cut a notch is an aluminium storm door.

Answer:
Hello goodboy,
This plunge cut blade isn't made to separate layers as much as to simply do dive in cuts. A razor or paint scraper will perform the task much better. Depending on the way the vinyl was secured you may also want to consider using a cleaning agent like Goof Off.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Steel Plung cut blade I use this one time on steel and it wore out. The blade did not hold up like I thought it would. June 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good blade for the job! Needed to cut through wood and steel staples. This blade does it all. May 3, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by works great This universal blade fit perfectly on my Rigid tool and worked as good as the original that came with the tool. April 23, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Disappointing I bought this product (making sure to buy the wood/ metal use blade) and used it to shave off a #8 bolt head. After getting half way through, the teeth on the blade were dull. I returned to Home Depot and haven't tried the new blade. February 23, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Saw Excellent product. I've only used it a couple of times but I'm very satisfied with the results, very satisfied with the precision of the saw. January 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by One and Done I bought the blade to cut a single nail and a aluminum studs. After cutting the aluminum stud the blade was done. Didn't even scratch the nail. Don't waste your money. I took out my small dermal and cut the nail in 30 seconds. December 29, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great tool Great tool, only reason not 5 of 5 is the price. I feel this is a 9.99 tool. January 5, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not the best for grout or metal. Overall I am happy with my purchase of this tool. It worked great when precision cutting was needed along drywall, and some grout. With that said; the blade did not last long after slightly longer cuts on grout. I haven't used it on nails yet, but based on what the grout did, I don't feel it will last long. October 27, 2015
