I think I know where your having an issue, people say just pull the trigger well there's a little more, obviously you need a battery in and u need it in forward or reverse (by the way the manual states to put it in forward when using cutting blades with the multi-tool head) now here's where u might be having an issue, there is a trigger lockout, there is a small pin where the heads attach and when u put the heads on it they depress than pin in which releases the trigger lockout. So the short answer you have to have a head attached to it to release the trigger lockout and turn it on. Hope that helps! Read Less

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great tool. Poor support! This is a 5 star product all by itself. My lack of the additional 2 stars is due to Ridgid dropping both warranty and parts availability for my older 1 handed reciprocating saws, of which I own 2 with "Warranties". If this is your first purchase of a one handed saw - you are going to love it. Plumbers should consider this a best friend! Just watch out for Ridgid deciding to change their support! August 2, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Love the concept I can't give it a 5 just yet although I just might...I haven't had it long enough. I can say that I love the interchangeable heads and the variable speed trigger. I've only used the tool less oscillating head with it and the variable speed start makes the initial cut easy. As a contractor I'm expect a lot from my tools. March 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rigid tools have been the best investment I have made in years I was exposed to Rigid battery tools about three years ago. My brother and I were building his retirement cabin off grid in Montana. I started with the drill impact combo as I thought they would be handy for a few jobs when we didn't feel like starting a generator. They were so reliable and solid they replaced our 110 volt tools for most work. After working them nonstop on this project I find that I have purchased the jobmax console most of its attachments a 1/2 inch hammer drill, finish nailed, a 1\2 impact wrench and circular saw and probably a couple others that I have forgotten to mention. I started out a serious skeptic as my past experiences with battery tools was disappointing at best. These tools have changed my mind on the value of the battery powered tools to the point that I rarely bother with 110volt hand tools. December 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jobmax made portable, yea Jobmax tools are powerful and versatile, the prior 12 volt battery was OK, but being able to use the 18volt system is an instant upgrade. January 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Very Handy tool. Glad to have it in my shop Love this Multi-tool. Using it for some Christmas present wood working projects. I have really used the detail sander head. It's so convenient with the battery power. It has plenty of power for every job I've tackled with . There are so many jobs that I can use this on. Thanks! December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great hand power tool I have been collected Ridgid power tool for the last two year, but this one have been the best one out of the other four, hope to use it a lot April 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Console Tool Only works Great worked well with my 18v batteries, love the usage with automotive applications. September 2, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Long lasting on the battery. Pleasantly surprised. Have used it many times. Love it.. Reccomend the hammer drill head with this tool. Very handy. The built in light is a nice touch. July 29, 2014
