Customer Questions & Answers

would a steel ridgid job max metal flushcut ridgid blade cut through tin roofing metal. If so how good are the cuts?

Asked by: Anonymous
If I were to cut a metal corrugated roof i would not use an oscillating type tool, but instead use a nibbler or electric shears for a clean 'no burr' cut or if the opening is large use either a 71/4 circular saw with metal blade or 4 inch grinding tool with metal blade. Note:the grinding tools leave sharp edges and with especially the circular saws wear full face protector and leaver gloves with shirt with long sleeves.

I have been disappointed with these types of blades from my first Dremel all the way to my current Ridgid tool they never seem to cut wood or metal quick enough for me and they wear out very quickly for the cost that being said they do work well on drywall and soft woods.

I used it to cut some (very inexpensive) laminate flooring that had already been put down, in order to make a little more room for the transition strip.
