This is a great tool if you don't mind having to stop VERY often to recharge!!

This is a very useful and versatile tool. Makes it very easy to work in and around door molding, baseboard molding etc.. The led light that shines on the work you are performing is a nice feature. Hand fit is nice and there isn't an excessive amount of vibration when using the tool. The variable speed is also nice as you can make more precise cuts in very tight areas. The only real negative I had was that the tool which I ordered on-line was missing parts. I could immediately tell that the tool had been returned as some of the plastic bags containing parts had already been opened. and the tool itself looked used. I went through the hassle of taking it back and the store immediately gave me a "new" tool.

I have several Rigid tools that I love. This is Not one of them. I purchased this tool to help cut subflooring only in the corners where my flush saw cannot reach. I figured it would easily cut through the planked 1X6 subflooring. It worked great at first. Then, the blade quit oscillating. The motor worked fine but the head would not perform. I returned to home depot and they happily allowed me to exchange it for another as I only had it for 2 days. The next day I get the new tool out and start using it. It worked for about 5 minutes and The same issue occurred again. I took it back to home depot today and got a refund. I really like the Rigid Brand for the lifetime warranty. However, I will not purchase another oscillating tool from rigid.

After about 20 minutes of sanding, the rubber came loose from the metal attachment piece on the sanding pad. Took it back to Home Deport and exchanged for another. The exact same thing happened, again, after about 20 minutes of sanding. The 2 pieces are glued together with a very small amount of glue. Apparently, when the sanding pad heats up from friction, the glue breaks down and the 2 pieces separate. Definitely would not buy this product if plan on using it for sanding. Home Depot refunded my money with no problem.

Got a vanity to add and want to cut out the baseboard to slide it in - this is the tool. Tiling a floor and need to raise the door molding a quarter inch - this is the tool. Lots of other places this thing works best - these are just examples. If you're into any noticeable DIY status, get one of these.

Love this tool. Registration was simple online, just make sure you enter in the correct info otherwise it will kick back and require you to mail in the receipt. I just resubmitted it with the correct info and all was well! Had an issue with the adapter breaking but called Ridgid and they shipped me two new adapters right away! I find myself trying to find things to use this with now! Buy it, and register it within 90 days and your solid!

I can't imagine trying to trim the door casings without this. I have done so before, but never again! I can hardly wait to get other accessories to use with this handy tool.

I really like the design of this saw; LED light, squeeze trigger, variable speed. It stopped working after 60 days. Its under warranty, but the rigid warranty is a joke! It costs $20 to have it diagnosed (pay up front) and then refunded when determined it is a warranty issue. I was then informed it would be ready in 4 weeks, maybe 3. This is for a $79 tool that is 2 months old. I will not be buying another rigid tool. Oh, and the motion activated security camera screens that are in the power tool aisle really drive me crazy!
