Rated 1 out of 5Â by TXFM08 Bi-Direction Lock Off Lever Problem
The Bi-Directional Lock Out Lever is not an operator friendly design. It really requires one hand to activate it while the other hand is holding the tool. A lock out lever like the one on the Reciprocating Saw Head makes more sense. Or, no lock out lever is preferable. I like the ergonomics of the jig saw itself, but the bi-directional lock out caused me to return the head. It really needs to be redesigned.
I have other heads for the JobMax and I do like them.

One of the reasons I bought into the system was for the jigsaw attachment.
While it seems like it is well built there is some play between the main head and the collar that connects to the base. Feels a bit sloppy when on the tool.
The plastic clip for use on laminate type wood is also hard to insert and remove.
The blades are easy to change with the quick change system they have on it.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Steph Great attachment! Annoying safety lock, but it can be easily defeated!
This is a great attachment with one drawback. The safety lock is spring loaded and difficult to engage to begin cutting. I came up with a simple solution: I drilled a tiny hole through the plastic slider lock and ran some thin wire through it. I pulled it tight so the lock was engaged to the side and secured the wire to the plastic of the vent slot. Works like a charm! I was very frustrated at first, but now it's great! We've been using this tool for our bathroom remodel and it's been fantastic. Even my husband is impressed with it! I took off one star for the difficult safety lock. . .

operates smooth and is well balanced. I like the option of having it work with my 18v Ridgit batteries.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by UncleSamsnephew This a great "go-to", go-any-where" tool
The best part is it's a "go-any-where" tool with one heck of a warranty. If you hate extension cords, you might want to give this tool a shot. An extended family member of mine is a professional stone counter top and cabinet installer; I told him about this tool and he says his whole crew loves the thing (along with all the other attachments).
