CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best tool available for the JobMax This tool is perfect for smaller jobs where the larger reciprocating saw won't fit. I manage a few rental properties and was recently doing some overhead work. This tool was invaluable while standing on a ladder being used one handed while supporting the cut-off pieces with the other. Best used with the corded or 18v system. Pro: Get's into tight spaces, doesn't have such a long stroke as to rip the tool out of your hand when it binds, blade changes are easy. Cons: The front cage is a bit flimsy and takes a bit getting use to. Overall I highly recommend this tool as an early purchase for the Jobmax system. February 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Priceless for stud removal I had to remove part of a stud without damaging the drywall on the other side. The confines were so tight that no other tool would fit, and my sawzall was too destructive and not precise. I debated the other corded one handed saw that ridgid makes, but I already owned a Ryobi Multi-tool compatible with JobMax attachments. The other tool had better reviews, but the components look similar. It's a good thing I chose this tool, though. One cut I made was so tight that it required an change in blade to trigger orientation; something that would not have been possible on the other tool. Switching blades is really easy too. Will this replace my sawzall? No. It doesn't have the speed and/or power, but it does have finesse. September 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great addition to the job max product line I manage several rental units, and have found my jobmax tool kit to be invaluable. I have other, more powerful tools, but for most quick repair jobs the power of the jobmax is more than sufficient, and with the addition of the recip saw head, i feel like I can tackle most any repair job. The recip saw attachment is well made-- I especially like fact that you can quickly switch blades without any tools. I also appreciate that Ridgid made the safety lock a switch that you do not have to hols in place as was the case with the jig saw attachment. September 20, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Jobmax Reciprocating Saw Attachment Love this tool for use in tight spots; and its portability. October 6, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Not a replacement for a full size recip saw. But handy. For the money if you need to buy one recip saw buy a larger saw. I also own a Milwaukee 12-Amp Sawzall Reciprocating Saw with Case. But that is not why you bought a jobmax system... right. I own the 18v jobmax console tool. I purchased this after buying a Ridgid 18v drill impact driver set. Going with the Ridgid format battery I am moving away from my 18v Nicad Ryobi tools. (Note this head will fit on a Ryobi jobmax like console) The value I think is poor. Being that I bought a Ryobi 18v recip saw is $40 (Note: Ryobi, Ridgid, Milwaukee and Sears all have the same parent company TTI) Also if you don't mind a cord the same type of Ridgid compact recip saw can be bought on sale right now for $80. If you own a 18v console and have an extra $70 then buy this tool. I don't regret my purchase. This saw cuts WAY slower then the Milwakee. But I like that it is light and portable, I don't have to drag out an extention cord and my cased Milwaukee. I have used it with the included blade to cut a radius in a 1/4 peice of plywood I was sure I was going to have to go out and buy a jig saw for. I loved it for cutting pvc pluming. It won't rip it out of your hands like the bigger Milwaukee saw does. I wish I had it when cutting out a stud in a plastered wall. I had to cut a stud that was backed by a plaster wall. Before I bought this tool I used my larger milwaukee to do the chore. It was painful and distructive. The stroke on that tool is 1-1/8. The blade traveled so far that is punched holes in the plaster on the other side of the stud. Then I pulled the blade back to pervent that it would come out from the stud hit right next to the slot i was cutting and bind and bend the blade. It was simply to fast and powerful.
