Not as good as a full size sawz all but great for tight spaces. I bring all the heads when i go to a job because you have all the tools you need in a medium bag. Really enjoy this head and all the otherS

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DirtyDeeds Best tool available for the JobMax
This tool is perfect for smaller jobs where the larger reciprocating saw won't fit. I manage a few rental properties and was recently doing some overhead work. This tool was invaluable while standing on a ladder being used one handed while supporting the cut-off pieces with the other. Best used with the corded or 18v system.
Pro: Get's into tight spaces, doesn't have such a long stroke as to rip the tool out of your hand when it binds, blade changes are easy.
Cons: The front cage is a bit flimsy and takes a bit getting use to.
Overall I highly recommend this tool as an early purchase for the Jobmax system.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Dempey Glad I finally got this!
I am glad I finally got this attachment for the JobMax! I am used to corded reciprocating saws and was worried that this would not hold up to extended use. It held up quite well for what I would consider fairly heavy use with about as much battery drain as a drill or the flush cut attachment. The only issue I had with it was removing the attachment as the buttons are small and hard to depress all the way.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DaveK Great addition to the job max product line
I manage several rental units, and have found my jobmax tool kit to be invaluable. I have other, more powerful tools, but for most quick repair jobs the power of the jobmax is more than sufficient, and with the addition of the recip saw head, i feel like I can tackle most any repair job. The recip saw attachment is well made-- I especially like fact that you can quickly switch blades without any tools. I also appreciate that Ridgid made the safety lock a switch that you do not have to hols in place as was the case with the jig saw attachment.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DrBundy OK for what it is, but beware
Purchased 12.29.12, replaced under the 90 day return/replace policy 3.28.13. My issue is a crack in the collar where the tool attaches to the drive body. The material is rather thin and looks to be just a step above pot metal. I fully expect my replacement to have issues in this same area, but I will be more aware of how this tool is handled to avoid damage if possible.
Now on to the good side, this tool is excellent for what it is. It is NOT a replacement for a full sized recip saw. Yes it has a short stroke, and no the motor is not all that powerful, but for smaller jobs this beats the heck out of dragging the big saw out for one or two cuts. I'll deal with the short stroke and not have to hold a heavy saw over my head or wedge it into tight corners. When used in this manner, it's a great addition to the toolbox. I was weary at the $70 price tag (I can get another full sized saw for just a few bucks more) but I'm glad I bit the bullet. Just remember, this is not the tool you use to demo a room.
4 stars overall, because I couldn't give it 3.5

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by VancouverMike Handy attachment for JobMax
This attachment came in handy when I had to replace the sub floor boards in my living room. It is easy to replace blades and it can get into those hard to cut places. I recommend it to be used with the corded power head as it runs down the battery pretty quick with the battery operated JobMax head.
Compared to the other JobMax attachments, this one is a bit pricey.
