This product had good reviews, so I assume it works fine. I noticed that it was recommended more as a second saw that is lighter and convenient if you already have a more powerful saw.
I returned it and bought the MakitaMakita 11 Amp Reciprocating Saw with Case for just a little bit more expensive. (which also had good reviews)

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by chris Very good tool
I got this for small jobs to be portable and still do a professional job and coupled with the other interchangeable heads it is awesome. Dont expect the strength of a stand alone tool and expect to go a little slower it shouldn't be put in a bind but you can carry six different tools to a job with the weight of about two skill saws. This saw head is so handi I have used it fo things from pruning limbs in the yard to cutting a 4x4 in half and it is stronger than my old black & decker also because I can use it on my jobsmart 110v and 18v motor as well as some I dont have like the 12v ridged, air powered model, and Roybi 18v, it is indeed a handi job tool.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by jveronin Good product but why
This is a 5 star product all by itself. My lack of the additional 2 stars is due to Ridgid dropping both warranty and parts availability for my older 1 handed reciprocating saws, of which I own 2 with "Warranties".
If this is your first purchase of a one handed saw - you are going to love it. Plumbers should consider this a best friend! Just watch out for Ridgid deciding to change their support!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by RyanB jobmax reciporcating saw head for 18v base
Great product for getting into small spaces and or doing light saw work. Would not recommend for a large scale demolition job. I think it has to do with the small stroke of the blade. Would recommend for small jobs around the house. Works great for cutting the nails in pallets for reclaimed wood projects.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Ariel Disappointed with Obstacles to Lifetime Service Agreement
I like the Job Max tool system, for which I have purchased a complete set of accessories.
However, I am deeply disappointed in Rigid's policies regarding registering tools for the Lifetime Service Agreement (LSA) that they prominently advertise on the product box.
After correctly fulfilling all requirements for online tool registration, Rigid refused to process my online tool registrations and insisted that I send them my original paper receipts, in spite of the fact that some of the items were online purchases directly from Home Depot Online.
It appears that Rigid never really intends to honor the LSA they advertise.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Blue Excellent attachment
This attachment allows you to see where your blade is cutting similar to a jigsaw. Appears to have ample power for medium size jobs. The compact size allows you to operate the saw without two-handed support.
