JobMax Reconditioned 12-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Multi-Tool Kit is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 49.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Tool for Small Jobs The appearance of this tool is good, you can definitely tell it is reconditioned so do not expect perfection. It works well right out of the box, and came with some nice blades. I bought some additional blades on Amazon, and the universal ones do fit well. Battery life is pretty short if you are using it continuously. This did not bother me as I have a drill/driver that uses the same batteries. The price I paid was fair for the tool, but go check at your store before you purchase this. My local store is running a "buy the tool get an extra attachment for free" special. If I could do it over again, I would probably go that route.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best tool ever. I have cut moulding in place, sanded in tight places, even ground down concrete. As a bonus, Sears attachments FIT. This tool is so good that I gave one to my father and best bud. That's right, I bought two more and gave them to people who respect good tools.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I have purchased refurbished/reconditioned items in the past and this was well under my expectations. I have purchased refurbished/reconditioned items in the past and this was well under my expectations. The outside case was all scratched up and had recon engraved in the side of all the parts. I didn't think this was necessary. As for the performance of the tool, I was less than satisfied. The battery doesn't last that long (1/2 hour) and when you use it for a continuous length of time it gets very hot and will shut down. You have to stop what you are doing and come back after it cools down. Not a good way to get a project done! I am not sure if I would even buy this new. Buy a corded multi-purpose tool. This was probably the first and last Rigid tool I get.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Dont buy it It only has a 90 day warranty about the same time the battries fail, buy the new one that claims lifetime warranty or stay away. All my Lithium battries have now failed for this unit less then a year old. What a waste of money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great tool; too early to comment on durability or battery rugged, versatile, works well with soft pine, wall board. New use for me + used scraper for the first step in wall paper removal of only the outter patterned layer - It was slow (like shearing a dog... but easy (compared to all other methods i tried) and effective. This process- allowed water and 'Diff" to penetrate...the wallpaper base which after about 10 minutes of keeping it moist with a spray bottle of plain water - then peeled off easily. Tthe few nicks i left can easily be filled in. Pass it on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great tool I previously and still own a Bosch multi maxx. I love this Ridged Job max, it has a work light, the blades I use, craftsman, fit without an adapter, the variable speed trigger is also a great feature. The price for the reconditioned tool was great, considering that everything else in this economy is either more expensive or smaller in value. The only downfall is that the unit looks used. I thought reconditioned was when they brought the tool back to a new look.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from worked good for a few months I love Ridgid tools, have the 18 V combo, but this one is not what I expected. I don't use very often, but after a few weeks of using it started to fail, I don't know if it is the switch or that overheats. I'm taking it back for warranty cause I had it for only about six months. We'll see what they say. (I didn't buy the reconditioned one, I bought the one that was on sale with an extra tool.)

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The device worked for short period bursts This Device worked great after the first few uses, but now it seems to run only 10 minutes after that its on and off, at first i thought it was the battery but it turns out it seems to be over heating internally. I don't know it may just be a fluke. I only recommend this device because i have the corded version and its awesome, so i am assuming that mine just happens to be a dud.
