Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by GMPlo Excellent Product - Good availability of attachments
I was hesitant at first to purchase a reconditioned power tool like this, but it turned out to be a great decision. I am primarily using it to undercut door jambs in order to install laminate flooring, but have also used the sander attachment, and have used the saw to trim a small area of oak stair tread. In addition, I purchased the right angle drill attachment to drill some pilot holes and drive some screws in a relatively tight spot that I would never have been able to do with even regular hand tools. The unit works very well, and the batteries recharge quickly, so I am able to work pretty much non-stop. Excellent tool for what I'm using it for.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by jayn Nice Tool for Small Jobs
The appearance of this tool is good, you can definitely tell it is reconditioned so do not expect perfection.
It works well right out of the box, and came with some nice blades. I bought some additional blades on Amazon, and the universal ones do fit well.
Battery life is pretty short if you are using it continuously. This did not bother me as I have a drill/driver that uses the same batteries.
The price I paid was fair for the tool, but go check at your store before you purchase this. My local store is running a "buy the tool get an extra attachment for free" special. If I could do it over again, I would probably go that route.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Gibby I have purchased refurbished/reconditioned items in the past and this was well under my expectations.
I have purchased refurbished/reconditioned items in the past and this was well under my expectations. The outside case was all scratched up and had recon engraved in the side of all the parts. I didn't think this was necessary. As for the performance of the tool, I was less than satisfied. The battery doesn't last that long (1/2 hour) and when you use it for a continuous length of time it gets very hot and will shut down. You have to stop what you are doing and come back after it cools down. Not a good way to get a project done! I am not sure if I would even buy this new. Buy a corded multi-purpose tool. This was probably the first and last Rigid tool I get.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by AtoZ the best multi tool I have found to this date
I have research around, borrowed multi-tools, checked into this and that. And this is the best multi-tool I have found so far. The versatility of the heads and the compact size makes it so perfect for small jobs around the house. I have the 90 degree angle driver, the jig saw, the multi-tool, and the ratchet head so far and plan on buying the rest. My wife also uses this.
The only reason why I did not give it 5 stars is because it does not come with a second battery. I had to buy an additional one. A little frustrating when it just stops.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by GWB123 "Recon" Melted into handle and no lifetime support
The Product based on looks is fine. Some basic cleaning and it appears near new and test run was good. Can't yet comment on the battery capacity nor the tools as yet.
The Pros...great price relative. The Cons...No lifetime support of the ridgid product (apparently it didn't make it back to factory standards or it would have justified a full warrantee) and the tacky RECON stamp seemingly melted into the handle. I'm sure they need to do this but it could have been placed in the battery bay or other less conspicuious place.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by kennedygd Great tool; too early to comment on durability or battery
rugged, versatile, works well with soft pine, wall board.
New use for me + used scraper for the first step in wall paper removal of only the outter patterned layer - It was slow (like shearing a dog... but easy (compared to all other methods i tried) and effective. This process- allowed water and 'Diff" to penetrate...the wallpaper base which after about 10 minutes of keeping it moist with a spray bottle of plain water - then peeled off easily. Tthe few nicks i left can easily be filled in. Pass it on.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Rick buy the 18v not this one
I liked it when I first got it, but it only comes with one battery. So be prepared to stop working every 30 minutes (Maybe that’s what you want but not me). You can buy another battery which is ½ the price of a new one. I ended up just buying the 18V one because I already have several 18V from all my other tools. When they first came out with the 12V they did not have it in 18V. This 12V does not have enough power or battery life for the job. Spend the extra buy the 18V.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Garry Excellent tool, powerful and efficient, extremely good value
This tool is very light and agile because of the adjustable head that allows you to put the trigger at 4 convenient configurations. The powerful lithium battery charges quickly and delivers full power up to the end of the charge. Changing blades and sanding head could be quicker but the adapter device allows using all competitive brands of saw attachments. It has become my tool of choice and the first one to grab when I need to get the job the job done quickly.
