Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Radio, Bad Remote This is a very nice radio, there were a lot of improvements from the first generation. It has much better sound quality and looks a lot nicer. My wife said it is a lot easier for her to move around now since they made this one smaller and lighter. I like the idea of having a remote with this unit, which is one of the reasons I bought the new one, but the remote doesn't work very well. I exchanged my first unit because of the remote and have just dealt with a bad remote in my second unit. I am not happy with the fact that the 12v outlet was removed from the radio and the fact that the radio does not charge your battery while plugged into the wall. November 24, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by works great when you have a good one I went through 3 of these before I had one working. The first one was clearly used before me as the box was full of saw dust and dents all over the stereo. The next 2 had broken screens. The forth though was just right. Although I think the screens are poorly protected, I give a lot of credit to the store for resolving this with me without argument. The quality if the stereo aside from the screen is good. I would buy it again, but maybe only at a lower price point. November 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Lots of power, good reception, rugged I had stopped listening to music while working because my old radio had poor reception. My son gave this to me as a gift, and it pulls in stations from all over, even when working in the basement. I can crank it way up with no speaker distortion. I've knocked it over off of a cabinet, and nothing happened. It makes it fun to listen to music again. I really like this product. November 24, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good mix of quality and features for the price I like the remote control that comes with this. I have the radio in my shop for a few years now and keep the remote near my main work bench. The reception and sound quality are decent to me. My only complaint is if I plug in a (Ridgid brand) battery charger nearby, then there is lots of interference and noise in the radio. I guess that is common to any radio though. November 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Absolutely durable! I bring it to all my job sites. I love the sound and great reception for multiple stations. It is definately the toughest on-site radio I've had. December 3, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Well built. Great radio, Wish it could charge batteries as well as play off them as it does. Only issue I have is the front display doesn't latch correct and is hard to see when sun is out. However holds up well to job usage and can pile stuff on top without harming radio. November 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great sound This is my second radio. The first one worked great until the power knob fried. I replaced it with this unit and it sounds and works even better. I stayed with the RIDGID radio since I have their power tools and the batteries work in it. November 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This radio has been the best one I have had! I have owned several brands of these such as the Craftsman, and the Rigid is much more durable and easier to carry. I am glad that I purchased it and even better it was on sale when I bought it. Great radio and durability!! November 24, 2014
