Extremely happy with this stand, I've used it for two different mitre saws, a 10" Makita and a 12" Milwaukee. The stand is solid when in working position and has large wheels and a good axle width for moving on site or sliding into the back of my truck. Don't know how I did without it. Great stand

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Vinny Awesome addition to my tool collection!!!!
I am the owner of a handyman service, I use all my tools on a daily basis. I did alot of research before deciding on this particular miter saw stand. It was a little bit more expensive than the other ones i reviewed, the quality is top notch. Very easy to set up and use. I mounted my skill 12in miter saw on it, and i can still set it up and down with a single hand. It is very stable when in the up position. Ordering and shipping was very quick. over all it is just a very nice tool stand. The one thing i would have liked to see on this stand is a plug strip for the miter saw and a couple other tools, but i was able to solve that problem with a 3 way and some zip ties.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by jman poor design for contractors
i had had this stand and the prior version for a total of 4 years. the older model was much stronger just eventually gave out. i have recently went trough 3 of the newer models. overall it is a good design and makes moving the saw extremely easy. folds up nicely and sets up easy. the downfall is the out riggers. if your a contractor this may not be for you. the plastic locks break very easy and wear very fast making the board sit crooked. i even went easy on my newest one and it still happened. other downfall is there is a very small flat surface for tape measures, pencils, ect. overall its great tool for a handyman or diy guy but ridgid went cheap on this model

I own several Ridgid tools and have been very pleased with the quality and performance until now. I purchased this with the 12" Sliding saw as a combo. I wish the store would have had one on display at floor level so I could have checked it out before I made this large five hundred dollar purchase because I NEVER would have bought it.
Fist of all, to stand this up, it takes all of my 220 pounds to raise it into place. Then, since the wheels wind up on the same end where you are standing. When you switch sides to move it around, there is nothing really to hold onto when you lift it. The saw is very top heavy, so good luck moving it around if you are on any kind of incline or uneven terrain.
Second are the support arms. Are you kidding me Ridgid?? These are so flimsy that it makes it a downright safety hazard. They are fine for cutting trim, but anything of an 8 foot 2x4 is impossible. I do alot of decks. You can forget about putting a 12 ft or larger decking board on it. 4x4s are out the of question. People buy sliding saws for the versatility of cutting about any lumber you want. This stand makes it impossible to unleash the potential of the saw.
I am going to sell this and I know I am going to take a serious loss. I plan to buy either the Jet or the Milwaukee 12" slider and the Bosch Gravity rise stand. Weather or not I give Home Depot any more of my hard earned money for tools has yet to be determined.

This works great for all types of work. I am a contractor and I use it on a daily basis. It makes it easy to get in and out of the trailer and onto the job site and set up within minutes scratch that seconds. I would highly recommend it to any other contractor.
