Customer Questions & Answers

How do I effectively remove a kitchen sink strainer basket?

Can the One Stop Plumber's Wrench function to replace/install a metal kitchen sink drain basket? The Slip and Lock Nut Wrench made in Taiwan and sold in your Warrenton store is a poorly made non-functional product. It is too thick, heavy (especially when one is working on his back, inside a kitchen cabinet#, and does not effectively grip the basket nipples in order to allow sufficient tightening/loosening of the basket. Have you a better product available #hopefully U.S. made...).? Will the One Stop Plumber's Wrench work for this kind of project Thanks, Thom - A regular Home Depot customer.

Hello, thanks for contacting RIDGID! Per our technical services department, the 2006 Sink and Faucet Installer is the only product we have for this type of application, the One Stop Plumber's Wrench will not work. One Stop Plumber's Wrench is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Good marketing, pointless tool! I bought this as a professional plumber, I'm the kind of guy who loves to buy all the new gadgets to test out... I have to say this thing is pretty worthless, you can do almost everything this does w/ an adjustable wrench. The open end wrench side seams to slip on everything it says it's for that I've tested it on (both the big and small size) the oil line wrench side you have to fight to get over stainless supply lines. The point to hold angel stops is pointless unless you are using compression fittings, which you shouldn't be. I will be returning this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mostly fits The wrench that fits on the 3/8 ferrule nut fits loosely. Not sure if that's the wrench's fault or the supply valve ferrule nut issue. I still like the wrench.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very satisfied This worked great. I was working in a very small area and it worked well to flip the wrench over, then wrench on the nut, and over again to get the nut loose

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsome Perfect for what I needed. I used to worry about damaging threads and grabbing with two wrenches, not any more.
