I had an immediate need for this tool. I had something similar in the past and wish I still had it. This tool works ok, but hacksaw might be as good or better.

The cutter was easy to use. It felt good in your hand , not cheap or flimsy. You just have to make sure that you line up the material you are cutting correctly or you won't make a straight cut. I would recommend this cutter.

Very solid product. Well built. Replaced one of those cheap pex cutters. No comparison.

The RIDGID PC1375 PVC and Tube Cutter is made well and feels like quality in your hand. It cuts with ease, 1" PVC pipe, if you have the strength in your hands to squeeze the handles closed. The only thing I would change is to increase the length of the handles to make it easier to squeeze the handles together to cut the pipe.

No gearing just lots of leverage. With the included plastic shape installed on the tool I still get square PEX cuts fast. Extremely satisfied. My 2nd of two water heaters sprung an internal leak so I PEX'd existing pluming to my remaining good water heater. Kept my family's standard of living high while saving a ton of money even after tool costs.

I made the mistake of snapping on the 1/2" adapter only to discover that it would not come off again without a tiny phillips head screwdriver to disassemble it. Maybe the cutter that I purchased was just molded badly ( poor quality) or maybe they designed it badly, either way the word bad applies.

The guy that designed this must have been a gorilla. You need huge strong hands, more than the average person.
