Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very easy to handle I purchased this sander to replace the one that quit working. It doesn't have as much power but the smoothness of operation makes up for that. The dust collection system works great but bag is a little small. Just have to empty it more often because it works so good. I use it to sand old weathered wood to make furniture and craft items. Very smooth finish even with a 80grit belt. November 28, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great DIY Size and Performance This sander is a no-nonsense tool!. It simply does what you expect and does it well. The size and weight are perfect, and it has the excellent case grip material RIDGID is known for. The dust collection works well with the bag and excellent with vacuum attached. A carrying bag would be pure icing on the cake. November 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tough enough for everyday use I am reno-ing an old house and trying to preserve all of the solid wood doors. Weather and age have taken their toll on the doors but the damaged surfaces are no match for this belt sander. It provides a very smooth finish almost effortlessly and the integral dust collection is a good addition to this tool. November 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by did the job quicker than expected I sanded a deck for restaining and the belt sander took off the top layer easily and when I changed the sandpaper to a lighter grade ,,,,produced a smooth stainable finish good job ...500 sq feet in a day November 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Monster The Ryobi Belt sander has 13.0 amps and is a beast! It will remove stock/paint/anything that you put in it's way. Strongest and most aggressive sander that I have ever owned November 24, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Well worth the price! I was looking for quite awhile for a good belt sander for my projects and this one fit the bill. Easy to operate and control and for the price I am very satisfied! November 24, 2014

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Outstanding Sander I have had this belt sander for about 2 years now and I am overly impressed with the features and durability of this sander . I love the fact there is a easy release bar for replacing the belts, no tools required. Another feature not found on other belt sanders is the delay ramp up speed, so when you hit the trigger the sander doesn't just take off at full speed, there is a slight lag of a couple seconds where the sander starts off slow and quickly then reaches speed. This feature is nice because it doesn't just tear into your project when started. The variable speed dial is right at your thumb so adjusting speed while in operation is a cinch. Another very nice feature is the belt tracking adjustment knob, with the unit running you can adjust the track of the belt on the rollers very easily, so keeping the belt centered is easy and it stays in position. This unit is very well balanced where I was able to even have my teenage son using it. Even with one hand as this almost floats above the work where using one hand is possible. The bag does a very good job at collecting dust, albeit a little small but not bad, you just have to keep it from filling up to prevent a lot of blow-by... Again Ridgid has done it again. I have yet to find a tool by them that I was anything but fully satisfied in. November 24, 2014
