Rated 5 out of 5Â by jcollett Hands down, best reciprocating saw I have ever used
I have only owned this saw about a week, and I can confidently say it is the best saw I have used. In it's first day of use it's compact design and ease of use saved me at least an hour's worth of work and a lot of aggrivation. 5 stars all around.

Fantastic power tool!!
Used this on a recent home reno and used it for everything. With the right blades it goes through most things. Keep in mind this is a small recip saw but I did use it for some things it isnât intended for and it just took a little longer. Very comfortable to use one handed.
It came with 5 blades, the blade for cutting metal worked great and I picked up some cheap Bosch wood cutting blades which also worked excellent. Used it for pruning a tree and no complaints.
The light is handy but wished it would stay on for a few seconds afterwards.
Overall I would highly recommend this tool.
Make sure to register your tool with Ridgid for the LSA.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Duckspit Great little saw - gets hot fast though
I bought this based on positive reviews. I was a little concerned a 4amp saw wouldn't "cut it".
The saw has plenty of power and was a godsend for the bath remodel I was doing. Especially with a scraper attachment to clean tile adhesive off the walls. That job alone made it worthwhile. I cut plywood and thru cabinets without problem. I bought carbide tipped blades at the same time so haven't used what came with the saw yet. Obviously the better blades will always cut well so long as the saw has power. I see lots of guys complaining about their saw when they simply don't change blades. They dull fast. Buy a pack and change often.
The only gripe I have is the saw gets hot quickly. It becomes uncomfortable to hold and I wonder how long the motor will last at that temp.
I paid full price and am not disappointed if it lasts.
