Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MBCLLC great work light!
I have 4 of these lights, and they work great and light up a room no problem. Its nice that they accept my 24v batteries as well as the 18v. The CREE LED light bulbs Home Depot sell are a good replacement if you don't want to use the CFL bulb. Stay under the 9 watt rating and remove the glass dome, super bright and will probably out last the actual light fixture itself.

they advertise you can use any house hold bulb. No you need to order it for 15 bucks. they break easy. It is also cumbersome to change bulb. I used the hook on it and it fell and broke the light. overall very poorly made !

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Perfect Work Light
I have a plethora of Ridgid tools, haven't been let down yet. This light is no exception. If you are looking for a great work light that is compatible with your Ridgid 18V batteries...this is the light for you. It is compatible with any light bulb that fits under its durable hood, has a sturdy hanger, and swivels for two working positions. There are only two down falls to this light... 1) it is expensive considering it is just a small light, and 2) the bulb has to fit in the clear box it has to protect it (it will not run without the case on correctly). Both of these negatives are justifiable...lifetime warranty, just get the right light! Oh and it comes with the first bulb.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Hilltop64 Nice Product.
The one negative that I would assess to this product is that it is not available at a Home Depot store. ANYWHERE! Have now used this product for short time and very much like it. Battery time usage is good. Put it on the floor, prop it up on something or hang it up, light provides quite a bit of light for most any job or project. Grandson takes it to his treehouse I built. He really tests the longevity of the battery. Overall the light is worth the cost. Great product.

I purchased this as a general work light and it is a nice compact size with a well thought out design. You can hang it or place it on a flat surface as general lighting.
What really impressed me about this light was during hurricane Irene, we lost power and this little light let me keep the room lit bright enough for us to see easily and was small enough to carry around. I have the larger capacity ridgid batteries for my tools and they gave me a decent run time.
If you have other 18v ridgid tools, this light is a great addition, that one night of use was worth the purchase price alone.

This light works well and last a little over 3 hours with my lithium ion batteries, i do not have the high capacity. I did change out the bulb. I dont like the yellowish color from the 2700K bulb it comes with so i put in a 5000K that has a nice white color which also picked up 50 lumens over stock. I also purchased a magnet with a hook on it so i could hang the light basically anywhere while i work. The light is well built and feels solid. I'm happy with my purchase.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Jt6853 Area light
I personally think that this is a great light it's a little bit pricey at $40 but at the time that I bought it no other area lights were available it's important to remember that this light can not be focused it really is just an area light great in a power outage or working in small area when you need more than a flashlight

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Geraldvol Disappointing
The lens cover will not stay on. The bulb is a fluorescent, not a LED. Nowhere near the quality of the Ryobi. Also disappointing that Home Depot does not carry its own brand of light (Ridgid) in the store, but carries the Ryobi and Milwaukee. Have not decided to keep it or not.
