I had my doubts. To test the impact I torqued a wheel on with a 4 way as tight as I could get it.
After using the impact to take the lug nuts off, I felt like a Sally! It took them off with ease!
Good Looking, Great balance with the bigger battery, and comfortable in the hand.
AND best of all... LIFETIME warranty with all these tools AND batteries! -The only company I have found that does this-

I planned ahead on doing my replacement brake Calipers and Rotor job. I would have never been able to remove the Caliper brackets without this impact wrench!!! Worked great right out of the box!!

I bought 2 of these impacts and they both stop working while installing or removing lug nuts. Pull the trigger, let it hammer away for a few seconds, then it stops and will not start again until you let off the trigger and pull it again. Is that normal for this tool? I have lots of smaller Ridgid impacts and none of them are like that! Did I get 2 bad tools?

I was looking for a lite weight 1/2 inch impact wrench to take on trips on my RZR. I had a 1/4 impact in the past that couldn't get the job done. This wrench had great battery life, was light weight, durable, and took off the tightest of nuts without a problem. On my last trip, one of the rzr's in front of me had a flat tire. The driver tried to remove the lug nuts with another brand impact wrench and couldn't budge them. I used my new tool and they came off without a problem. Great product at a great price point.

I have owned this tool for over a year now and have primarily used it to remove lug nuts which it does easily. The big challenge came with removing the anode rod from my 8 year old 50 gal water heater. I tried breaking the 1 1/16 inch hex head free with a 30 inch long breaker bar. I was pulling so hard the 50 gallon tank full of water started rotating with the force. I then tried opposing force with another breaker and literally almost pulled a bicep muscle. I then tried this Ridgid impact wrench with a 12 pt socket. I tried for about 5 seconds. The bolt would not turn but instead began stripping the head. I went and bought a 1 1/16 inch 6 point socket. Within 3 seconds the anode rod broke free. I would not have been able to do the job without this tool. Very powerful and handy. I suggest you wait for it to drop to $119 which it does occasionally.
I highly recommend the Ridgid 18v products. Too bad Ridgid deliberately makes it difficult to register for the LSA. They make their customers jump through extra hoops hoping that they give up on the registration process. Don't give up! They always follow through AFTER you do the certified mail but not usually with the online submission only.

I was hooking an old piece of equipment on my tractor. The bolts were very very rusted. I used this thing to break the bolts loose and it didn't even have to try hard to do it. I think it's probably just as good as an air impact wrench. By far this thing is now one of my favorite tools. I don't have to get the air compressor charged up, drag out the hose, then fight with it, I just put a lifetime battery on this thing and go to work.
