let me start out by saying I use this saw (6 1/4")for special operation where it is too cumbersome to use a 110 volt circular saw. I just used this to install windows on a very old home. I had to cut some siding away from the opening to allow the window to be installed. It worked perfect. Easy to use, light weight, plenty of power to do the job. I didn't expect much but was surprised at the power. I rated it a four star only because it uses a lot of battery power. However I just threw the battery on the ridge fast charger and threw in another battery. Running consistently for 15minutes of hard cutting is about what you can expect. That's not bad when you think about it. The bottom line is I love this saw because it just makes everything a little easier under the right circumstances.

Same amount of power as my full size, plug in saw, but lighter, more mobile and easier to use/manuver.

Really works well. Nice to have around for large and small jobs. My only gripe is it tends to shoot the dust up into the users face from the front. At times I have to put my hand over that area. Other than that I'm very happy with this. Home Depot shipped this quick as well. Kudo's to them. Packaging was very good as well.

Great saw, I used it recently to build a deer blind back in the woods, Ridgid makes quality products and this saw is no exception .

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Rebecca Great tool. Just make sure to get the 5 amp battery.
I started buying Ridged tools about 3 months ago. So far it been standing up to everything I put it thru. The warranty is a pain in the (you know what). But if it works like they advertise then it will be worth it.
As for the saw goes it great. Light weight. and cuts great, That is until the battery dies after about 5 or 6 cuts. The standard battery is not up to do the job. This tool should have been sold With the 5 amp battery. Selling it without the battery makes you think that it will run great with the batteries you have. (4 total received when buying other kits) I would have been more then happy to pay 200 for the complete kit at one time then having to go back and get the 5 amp battery later or having to run all my batteries down faster then they can get charged.

My barn is not close to the house. There is no power to it yet. Frankly, dragging the big old circular saw out and 500' of electrical cord was a pain. We loved the Ridgid impact driver and reciprocating saw so we thought "let's give the circular saw a shot." It is a lot easier to carry around battery operated tools. Additionally, neither my daughter nor I are very large women. This saw gets the job done without being so heavy and cumbersome. We can cut nearly anything we need to without too much problem. Does it replace our chop saw or table saw? No, but it isn't supposed to.
The only negative is that you will need more than one battery. It takes less battery than the reciprocating saw but more than the impact driver.

I thought I'd get this cordless circular saw for those times when a cord is not an option...but it has become a replacement for my corded saws in almost every situation! I love it!!

I had been using a Dewalt for many years I let someone borrow it and then needed it for a project that came up. My friend was out of town so I bought a new one to work with the rest of my Rigid cordless tools. Best move I could have made. Lighter, quieter, easier to maneuver and faster start/stop on the blade. Very happy.
