Seems like an awful lot of money if it doesn't have the above features!

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 56 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not worth the extra money I bought this to use out by the pool. It didn't go through anything more than I would subject a normal radio to. After 2 year the speakers went out. The 3 year warranty is apparently worthless unless you have the original receipt. I registered it with Rigid but when I contacted them I was told they wouldn't do anything without the receipt. "Shockmount" technology apparently doesn't do anything but jack up the price and Rigid looks for any reason to not honor the warranty. July 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Jobsite Radio This radio was a gift to my boyfriend. He brings it to his jobsite everyday and it still looks brand new. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who needs a sturdy radio. January 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Wont Charge After reading the owners manual which clearly states "will not charge a battery pack" decided not to purchase. I purchased Rigid tools only to see them fall further and further behind the competition in the cordless tools and accessories they offer. I want a radio that charges batteries and plays music at the same time. Maybe Dewalt next time ? April 13, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Needs Built-in Charger Radio works and sounds well however it could be better. After reading other reviews it seems that I am not the only person out there that would like to see a battery charger added. I am tired of having to have a battery charger plus the radio plugged in order to keep working, and listening, all day. June 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A couple of fixing will do This radio has some of the best reviews out there. The 3 big complaints are 1 Battery charger. A few of us know there is some copyright thing with another company and there are hefty costs to include the charger into the radio. I agree this is bad for sales if Ridgid does not pay to include it. I know they would have enough sales to cover the cost of including the charger being I am also one that waited and waited. After speaking to a rep about it and told not to count on it happening anytime soon, I thought can I live without it? Well yes I can, do I want to, no I dont. Is it a deal breaker? To a lot of people? yes it is. Would it be worth it for Ridgid to include it? I say yes. The radio is an important item out on the job. It makes the time go by faster and your employees are more productive. The radio becomes one of your most important tools. If it has the functionality of being a charger then that is one less thing we have to carry around. I love my Ridgid tools, I love the LSI warranty. The tools are solid and strong. The radio is important to me and my workers. 2nd is the remote control. If you work at home or a shop this would be a really good plus to put the radio on the shelf and use the remote for it. But if your putting it on the shelf then you shouldn't be the one to complain about it having a charger either. you can always get the Christmas tree light remote to turn on and off the radio. 3rd issue is the ipod or bluetooth issue. This was a big one for me since I didn't want to go out and buy an ipod for music when I was working in areas without a good station to come in. I saw that the radio comes with a connector to plug into your phone with a 3.5mm jack. It also has a USB port that will charge your phone at the same time with it plugged in or the battery. I thought this would work until I realized I need to have my phone with me for calls. My solution was a visit to Best Buy and pick up a Bluetooth receiver that charges with a usb. it fits into the side and disappears with the door. With this all said, other than the charging issue, this radio has the best reviews on the web. I will vouch for it since I use the high volume all the time. Other brands are also good, but this one has the best sound and clean. It does not have a lifetime warranty but only a 3 year. But you have to register to get it. As with any and I do mean all electronics, there will be failures. Don't expect it to live forever. Nothing does. This is a very good value now that it has come down in price. TTI please think about sales and include the charger. I personally could have sold 2 full kits and a radio if the radio would just charge a battery. your Ryobi line has it and I know that is because of sales to the homeowner. Let us workers that rely on your tools for a living also be proud! June 15, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Radio! This is a great radio. The clock is a little confusing to set, but otherwise works great! March 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by IMPRESSIVE SOUND This radio is awesome! Sounds great! It takes double A batteries so you dont have to reset your presets and clock everytime you unplug. You can connect your phone through an auxillary. I wish it had blue tooth. February 23, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Waste of money Why did they ever make a job site radio that won't charge the batteries, what a waste and a disappointment, I went with all ridge battery tools for the warranty, sir wish I kept the dewalt . I Had to give it 1 star cause it said I had to pick 1 to do the review January 26, 2016
