Both drills are great. The hammer drill may be more that I needed, but I like it. The battery has a light that tells you how much power you have left. Charge is less that 30 minutes. Like Lifetime service warranty.

Found this item on clearance for 140$. For that price I thought I would give it a try. I like the way the tools feel in my hands they feel solid well made.
The soft bag is very basic and small, you have to take the battery off the tools to fit them into the bag or else they push the sides of the bag out.
Used the drill today on a brick wall. Using a 1/4 inch bit drilled 38 holes 4 inches deep on one battery. Not bad but for a 4 amp battery I thought it would do better. The bad thing is that the drill gets hot and power shuts off. I think it is a safety feature on the battery because after about ten seconds pulled the trigger and the drill worked again. To be fair I drilled all 38 holes non stop in about 20 min. The Hamer drill handle goes on easy and feels solid but it can only be mounted at 270° 0° 90°. It is nice that the battery's have a charge indicator because as stated earlier you have to take them off to put tools in the bag.
Have used the impact driver and it seems to work ok and has plenty of power. Used it to drive in 2 1/2 inch tapcons. Not a lot a features on impact only one speed and lcd light. But I purchased the combo kit mainly for the drill.
I would recommend this drill for the price it's no milawukee but seems to be well worth 140$.

I only buy ridgid tools because of the quality. And of course of the lifetime warranty.

When I bought my first house I decided to upgrade the 10 year old drill I had and bought this set. These drills are amazing. The build is top quality and extremely powerful. But what really impressed me the most was the batteries! These 4.0Ah batteries last forever. My first recharge was maybe 6 months after the first charge! I would say i use them for typical household duties but with a new house they were used relatively frequently. At just over a year I might almost be getting ready for their 2nd recharge. I am sticking with the Ridgid product line for future purchases and the lifetime warranty can't be beat. The big battery does make it on the heavier side but hasn't been an issue yet.

I bought a single ridgid drill two years ago and absolutely loved it. After it was stolen i immediately went ans purchased this drill and its just as amazing as the former. Will be sticking with ridgid tools for as long as i'm working construction and then even still after for home tools.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rico001 Great Combo Set
This is a Gen 4 Hammer Drill and Impact Driver Combo Set.
I have had this set for over a year now and I just got around to writing a review for it.
The Hammer Drill is a great tool and has a 2 speed motor for slow or fast Hammer Drilling and a select-able switch for Hammer Drill, Drill, and Screw with torque settings. It is a good weighted tool and you will notice the extra weight from the Hammer drill function but it is not as heavy as their older Hammer drills. It works very well at drilling concrete as long as you are using quality bits and keep it slow, go to fast with a cheap price bin drill bit and this drill will tear it up quick.
The Impact Driver is also a great tool and I use it all most weekly when I have to mend a fence or deck since it makes short work to screw and pound a deck screw in. It is a small Impact Gun so take it easy on it and it will last you a long time

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Matt Chuck wobbled, brought it back.
I bought this drill after reading tons and tons of great reviews. I love the way it looks and feels, and was excited about the features. Brought it home, took it out of the packaging, threw a drill bit in to test it out and the bit wobbled. I thought maybe the bit was not seated properly and set it again, same wobble. Then I googled "Ridgid hammer drill wobble" and what do you know, a million other people with the same problem. It seems this is a frequently reported issue with Ridgid. I am returning this drill to HD tonight then going to Sears to purchase an American made Craftsman.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hawkeye Beware of the hammer/drill if you need a any power.
I am very happy with the way the impact driver works. It's fast and the battery lasts. The hammer/drill on the other hand is marginal. The battery shuts the drill down when you need the power the most. It is designed with electronics to shut the power off when the draw is high. My old DeWalt would just keep working and did it for years. I have been really happy with my other corded Ridgid tools so I went for the R9200 kit when my DeWalt clutch died. You may never larger drill holes thru 2x4's , but beware. I haven't had the opportunity yet to drill metal.
