My wife tried assembling this and then asked me to do it because she couldn't. I tried hunting for the "pink" parts first. After some time, I realized that the "pink" parts were really all gray or clear in the box we got. I then tried assembling the parts in step 1. I tried many times and eventually gave up. I did not get past step 1. It was only then that I came to check for any assembly help and saw these reviews. It is not my wife or me. This product CANNOT be assembled with me cutting parts and rebuilding other parts. It is going back to HD later today. What a waste of time and money! BTW, I am a mechanical engineer, so I feel for anyone else trying to assemble this. HD should stop selling these!

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by AnnoyedwithRL Useless for advertised applications
Nozzle cannot be adjusted, as the RL customer service put it, for anything thicker than water. Used with a translucent stain and left a large saturated brown mark on my deck. The fine print on the box does not do it justice with what the product CANNOT do.
RL customer service attitude was essentially, "oh well."

I purchased this sprayer to waterproof my daughter's new swingset. I took the afternoon off from work and planned to do the job on the last day of nice weather for the next week. I opened the box and found the "instructions", which were written on a paper that looks like it should have been folded in 6 sections, but was folded in 4 (I should have known just from that alone that the quality would be bad). There was an extra 3" x 4" piece of paper thrown in that said that the tubing might be one of three colors. OK that's fine, I can figure that out. The instructions were very hard to follow but luckily I figured it out. I poured in my sealant and tried to spray and noticed that there was no spray nozzle tip! The box was taped thoroughly and did not appear to have been opened when I bought it. What kind of quality control does that lead someone to believe they have when there are 6 pieces to the unit and one is missing? I did not have time to go all the way back to Home Depot, so I ended up using a paint brush to seal the swingset by hand. Very disappointed.

Put the sprayer together exactly as the instructions said. There was an air leak somewhere. The sprayer did not hold air very long. The sprayer tip did spray semi-transparent stain but it sprayed it everywhere. I used it on very low spray. Coated a board the same way you would put ketchup on a hotdog, and then spread it out with a deck brush. By the time I was done with the deck the nozzle tip was clogged up. This is a one time use product.

I came on line to figure out what I had done causing mine to leak so badly. Turns out it's not my fault.

It's going back to Home Depot. I couldn't even attach the hose to the sprayer. That's when I went online. Wish I had read reviews first.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by RavensFan Not even worth the ten bucks!
This thing is going back to the store asap. The guy at HD said this would be good for applying clear waterproofing to our deck. First, the directions weren't clear to assemble; I had to watch a youtube video to figure it out. Then it says to try it with water first so we did and it worked fine. We poured in the waterproofing liquid and sprayed and all we got was splotchy goop out of it. We tried adjusting the nozzle and it still didn't work. So, if you're spraying anything thicker than water, it won't work.

Such Total Junk that value should be rated in the negative numbers, maybe a negative 10 on a scale of +1 to +10. NEVER got a fan spray out of it. Had to run to the store and buy a roller to spread the drizzle. As my first time staining a deck, I thought maybe that's how it should work. Started out as a 1 inch wide spray, leaked and dripped. Ended up as a stream. Probably ruined the deck stain application and will require me to RESAND and re-stain. What's that, 3 more days of work, an extra sander rental, more sandpaper at 6 bucks a sheet, and an extra 5 gallons of stain?
Using this product cost much more then the shelf price.
Home Depot should pull this product off the shelves. I wouldn't even use it to spray (or stream) weed killer. And I should have checked the other reviews before using this.
