Answer:
I have tried to use this method in the past and have had mixed results. The most important part to remember is that when your done with the sprayer, it's done too. The elements in water seal will eventually eat the seals of the sprayer making it useless. If that makes sense you get it!

Answer:
Check the air bleed off valve to make sure it is closed before pressuring the tank, If the valve is closed and air still leaks then check the rubber seals on all connections to the tank for cracks breaks and proper fit. Sometimes during assembly one or more of the rubber o-rings can fall out of its proper location or be missing all together causing the tank to leak.

Answer:
Once you open the sprayer and fill (up to the fill line) with whatever liquid product you will be using, you need to screw the top back on and tighten. Also make sure the air release button (black) on the side is tight so no air is released. Then you just pump with the handle, lock it and spray. Hope this helps.

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.4 out of 5 by 193 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Jury Still Out....... I bought this sprayer last season and didn't take it out of the box for a year. First complaint, when assembling the sprayer wand, in addition to the o-ring there is a rigid plastic washer that required pliers to "slide" into position. After assembly, the sprayer wouldn't work. I have had their 1 gallon sprayer for years with no problems. The difference I noticed between the two was with the siphon tube. On the 1 gallon sprayer the end of the siphon tube that sits at the bottom of the bottle is cut on an angle, the tube included with the 2 gallon sprayer was not. After cutting the tube at an angle (with snips, the tube is too hard for scissors) the sprayer worked. As mentioned in other reviews the instruction sheet was difficult to follow, even after figuring out that there were no "pink" parts included. I won't know about other problems or longevity until I've used it for a while. June 13, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not So Good Sprayer The 2 Gal. sprayer needs long time to refill. I specifically use this for insecticides. The nozzle is good, I can adjust whatever I want. Stream or Spray. The wand holder is so flimsy that it keeps coming off. The pump is not that sturdy, it flexes while pumping. August 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sprayer works nicely Sprayer was easy to assemble, and seems durable. Nice size for garden usage. August 9, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Wish I could return it The pressure release broke after a couple uses. Then the little plunger for the trigger in the handle broke after a couple weeks. I replaced the spring with a stronger one to help and now the housing for the handle broke. Absolute junk August 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap and Frustrating I don't know why I continued to buy these. I have three currently, all from Home Depot. Probably have had five or six. Problems with quality are numerous: the handles freeze up and have had to replace them four times, in short order the tanks continue to lose pressure, the locking mechanism for the pump handle doesn't always latch securely so the sprayer falls the full length of the handle when you are out in the field--constantly. I will never buy this brand again, and I can't figure out why Home Depot stocks them, given that these are such an inferior product. June 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fast easy purchase from the shelf to use very quick Very simple to pull out of the box very minor assembly and use August 9, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by worst purchase ever this product did not work--I specifically asked the paint guy and the paint section if I could put stain in it and he said YES---I DID NOT WORK---should have returned it but I HAD A HALF GALLON OF STAIN IN IT July 19, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Sprayer The sprayer doesn't have good pressure. Other sprayers do better. July 20, 2016
