Eventually the built in hand pump will fail rendering the spray unusable. Most rubber tire valves mount in a 1/2 or 9/16 hole which I drill with a stepped sheet metal drill bit . Check at any tire installer for a free used one which are usually thrown away. An flexible auto valve installation tool is needed to fish the valve core through the drilled hole and silicone spray reduces pulling force needed. Once installed depressing the valve core will release pressure. This tip will work will pump type sprayers and reduces discarded sprayer waste. Read Less

I do the same as my larger 1 & 2 gal pump sprayers. To release the pressure, I slowly twist open the top/lid.

Answer:
I don't believe this type of sprayer can reach that vertical height besides you will need to tip the sprayer horizontally so less than 1/2 of the solution will be useful. Suggest you consider a wand type sprayer which will require frequent pumping to maintain adequate pressure. You must consider some of the spray stream will be effected by the wind.

It does not have that capability. You would need a powered sprayer for that height. Hand pump sprayer, any kind, won't be able to do it.

Answer:
I personally would never use a sprayer to spray upwards. I would use a ladder and spray down, along with wearing a respirator, disposable clothing, eye protection. Look to spray only on a calm windless day. Certain garden chemicals can cause cancer if inhaled or allowed contact with skin.

It will if you set it as a stream. Probably not if using as a mist. For that large of a project the container may be a bit small - it requires a lot of water to wet the "popcorn" enough.

Instead of lugging around a full-sized sprayer, I can easily manage this half-gallon unit. It's easy to fill, easy to pump, and has a variety of spray settings. I can't think of a single drawback to using this product. Even if the sprayer head clogs, adjusting the spray setting by twisting the head will unclog it. I've been looking for a sprayer like this for years, and the price is reasonable. For spraying ground-hugging weeds, you will still want to use a wand sprayer to spot spray the plants without the risk of overspray. Otherwise, this product works great for anything higher off the ground. I use it for foliar spraying of fertilizer and deer repellent.
