CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 2.5 out of 5 by 8 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bent On First Use I bought this bar to take in the truck off-road. The very first time I pulled it out of it's plastic sleeve and put it to use, I bent it! I've got pinch bars from years ago that aren't quite as long but are rock solid. I'm returning this to Home Depot as defective. The quality control of heat treating must have been off. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by This thing is junk My yard is full of rocks and I bought this because I was sick of borrowing my brother in laws. First day, first task, it bent on me. I wasn't even using it on rocks, just trying to remove a stump. No heavy strain, certainly not the level to which I felt I was abusing it. Check the details, no warranty, that should tell you something. May 7, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Soft metal center Note that this bar only has steel points and even that is open for debate. I have now used this bar for about two weeks taking out smallish tree roots and though it is better than nothing, it badly bent the first time I tried any leverage. It is great for just cutting/digging, but after bending it back into shape I would guess that the shaft is nothing but soft iron. Probably explaining the cheap price. I will go buy a decent bar for leverage and use this one for just root cutting... July 19, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Bent like plastic Bent to a 90 degree angle in light soil in the back yard trying to lift a 5 gal size lemon tree. Very poor quality and a waste of $31. May 18, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Despite appearances, it's not strong enough for prying OK for cutting small roots that a post-hole digger can't cut, but it bent the first time I tried to pry up a 10" stump with it (and I'm 52 years old). Amazingly weak metal - do not pry with it. August 8, 2014
