PRODUCT OVERVIEW

Model # 23032-1

Internet # 203746905

This RadonAway RP260 radon fan is intended for use as a component of an active soil depressurization (ASD) system for reducing radon. It provides quiet operation, energy efficiency and high air flow when sub-slab or sub-membrane materials consist of about 4 in. of clean, size 4-6 gravel and is ideal for both new construction and retrofit radon systems Choosing this fan offers the capability of moving about 100 CFM more air than the RP145 in soil with similar tightness. The RadonAway RP260 is built to resist moisture and can be mounted inside or outside on a 4 in. Sch. 40 PVC vent pipe using 4 in. x 6 in. flexible couplings. It can be used with a building slab or membrane size of up to 2500 sq. ft. NOTE: When installing an ASD system for radon reduction, any openings, major cracks and penetrations in the building slab or membrane must be sealed. Fan Sizing for retrofit may require professional diagnostics and design.

Answer:
I can't find this info either. Can only find 6 x 4 reducers where the 6 is 6.5" because it is for schedule 40 plastic pipe. The fan is an actual 6" OD. Can any one weigh in on this?

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Nice quite fan. Much quieter than the original of the same brand.. May 24, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Radon Fan I had a radon fan installed 10 years ago. It went out about 6 months ago. I searched the web and had ordered 2 other fans which were loud and off-balance. I finally went to the Home Depot website and tried their selection. It has been great so far. Save time , just go to HomeDepot.com and order it !!! January 19, 2016

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent unit I bought this as a replacement for my 12+ year old Fantech HP 2190. The old unit was still working fine, and had always done a good job of controlling my radon problem, but given the age, I thought it was due for replacement. I thought it would be best to bump up the CFM. I was worried that this bigger unit would be noisy or difficult to fit. But with the correct 4x6 adapters, it fit right in place. Once it was connected, there was negligable difference in noise output. Very happy with this purchase! October 6, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by easy to install. My house is 5 years old and the radon reading came back at 108.6 P/L way above the safe value of 4 P/L. I installed the system myself with help from online and installed a digital radon monitor. The reading after 4 days with the fan dropped to 24.5 p/l and hopefully will be below the safe limit soon. The power cord does not come with the fan and has to be bought seperately. Standard 4"x6" rubber pipe connectors work to connect the pipe and minimize the noise. They may seem to big at first but as you tighten the clamps they will fit. Puts out a good bit of air more than I expected. Very quiet, I can not hear it at all in the house and can hardly notice it in my garage where it is installed in the attic space. A free radon consult on line recommended this fan and size. Make sure you caulk all cracks and openings in your basement to ensure a good seal for the system to work. March 20, 2013
