What kind of emitters are used. Do emitters prevent clogging ? Is this safe to use underground ?

yes and no:
You can use it under mulch, but I would not recommend it for underground use as the plant roots will clog the holes.
Those are NON PRESSURE COMPENSATING.
Rainbird sells a specific 1/2 tubing for underground use, with a root block system.
If you plan to use it under mulch, but still above the root zone, then it will work.
