I love my plants, flower and edible plants. Every year i add another bed somewhere on the property. My job keeps me away from my gardens for longer then I want, but someone has to pay the bills. With grow lights and heat pads I have the pleasure of gardening all year in North Jersey. Even while I'm plowing snow away from my driveway. Drip irrigation has become part of my life, using auto timers and multi zones has made gardening even easier and more fun.
Rain Bird’s most complete drip irrigation starter kit includes everything you need to water a garden or landscaped area up to 75 square feet. The kit features Rain Bird’s rugged ½-inch emitter tubing that has built-in emitters every 18 inches that are pressure compensating to provide uniform end-to-end watering of vegetable rows, ground cover and other closely spaced plants. Staked pressure-compensating dripper are also included for spot watering of individual plants. Simple installation involves running tubing on top of the ground from an outside faucet to the planting area where you place the emitter tubing and dripper near the base of your plants. The watering devices are clog resistant and specifically designed to provide dependable watering of all plants, helping ensure consistent growth, better vegetable yields and resistance to disease.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by DenP Great product for the money!
This product has been a lifesaver in our hot Florida temperatures. Have had it installed for about a month and it works very well. The one thing I would say as to value - the kit doesn't include enough of the parts you will really need. I just happened to order two kits so I could borrow from the second to complete the first. The parts are available separately, but you will probably need something you don't have. Putting the system together was fairly easy, a little planning goes a long way. Overall, I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by MushroomHunter I love it so much I'm getting the extension kit!
I have wanted an irrigation kit so much I almost fell to the floor when my Rain Bird arrived! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!
Set up is time consuming but worth it. Last year I dug trenches throughout the garden to bottom water my plants which was tedious work. Now, I have landscape fabric for weed control and my hoses run underneath and drip water only to the bottom of the plants, not the leaves.
I'm a pretty creative DIY'er with a spinal cord injury. I refuse to give up my garden but it's a serious challenge to keep up with it. Now, I don't have to worry about watering, it's all nice and neat and efficient.
I plan to buy some extension kits to complete my large garden. I highly recommend the Rain Bird. Thanks Home Depot!

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by SFret Good substitute for installed sprinklers
I had six new azaleas that were getting weak due to lack of water. They are isolate between the house and driveway but have a spigot behind them. Using an Orbit timer, I slapped these drip lines in. Very easy to install. The plants get some dripped water right on their base twice a day for a short time. They look really good, now.

I bought this product really just to have the manifold to connect to my hose..Long story short, the pressure regulator is made out of cheap plastic that continuously leaks from the threads (no teflon required). So i decided to teflon it any ways to get it to stop, and it just cracked -hand tight! All in all, the fittings it comes with are decent but what do you really expect for 20 something bucks?

This is a really good product. It's easy to use and put together. The only draw backs to it is there isn't enough 1/4 inch fittings.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Michael Becareful with installation, otherwise works great.
The dripline came in a tight coil, make sure you have plenty of room to unroll it before installing it. I had one spot get kinked and it developed a leak within a couple of days. If you are using it in a raised bed, get extra staples to hold it inplace. It does make watering our veggies much less labor intensive.
