1-gal. Zuni Basin Suede Specialty Finish Interior Paint is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice textured finish that takes some practice to get right... This is a neat paint and provides a very nice texture finish in a rather easy way - just paint it on. It is somewhat time consuming to apply, but it's not particularly hard. You can watch the videos on to learn the technique, and with a little practice you can learn the technique easily enough. By the time I was done with the wall that I did, it was easy. The finished paint looks pretty neat. It's a nice change-up from plain, flat finish walls. I tried it in three different locations before I was satisfied with the lighting and the color. Painting over the first two samples was not easy. I had to sand the spots down first and then paint them. It seems to scratch easily, and it doesn't repaint or repair very well. I would try and keep it away from high traffic and high contact walls, otherwise it may end up with scratches and marks in the textured finish.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from a unique type of paint Warning: This is a textured paint and so requires many coats to make it appear even. If you only put one coat on it will look streaky and uneven on the wall. I recommend it as an accent wall only, unless you have a lot of free time to keep adding coats. That said, it looks pretty cool when done properly! I have attached a few photos to show the difference.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Paint Can Full of Wonder There are many colors out there, but this one is a great one. It will require a second coat, but it applies easily and looks cool. I've used this as an accent color in our livingroom and a bathroom, and it really makes a difference. Definitely recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Signature Finish The Ralph Lauren video is a good place to start. I recommend using the RL rollers and brush for the best look. When completed you will have results with your own signature finish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from so unique and luxurious looking This has got to be the most luxurious paint I have ever seen. The color I picked is a dark, leathery suede look to begin with but the texture in which the paint is made is absolutely beautiful. You should follow the usage directions or watch the video that shows you step by step of how to use the paint. You'll need a roller and a brush to complete the design. The finished product literally looks just like suede. It's amazing! I have had 2 people come to my house since I painted and have literally ran their hands across the wall to make sure it wasn't suede. They were very surprised to feel that it wasn't suede. Absolutely beautiful paint for any wall. Used this shade in my living room on the accent wall where we have the TV on the wall. Gorgeous!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Accent Wall With Some Texture and Boldness Was looking to add an accent wall into the living room, something with a little more than just paint. The suede finish to the paint added a great feel to the room and helped keep a bold balance from the dining area. It was easy to apply but did require a specific brush for the right pattern. Looking to use the same brand in some of the other rooms for the same effect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Paint The Ralph Lauren Joshua Tree Suede Specialty Finsh is a cool product. It really does look like Suede and it is easy to do. This does require a special type of roller and paint brush. Ralph Lauren has an excellent video on their website demonstrating how to use the product. Basically, I used the roller for the first coat. However, unlike normal painting where one moves in up and down motion, I used a v-pattern as shown in their video. Thus, as I went back over the wall to pick up missed spots I tried to come at the missed spots at different angles. I was amazed that even the first coat had a suede look to it. It looked so soft and I had to keep reminding myself not to touch the wet paint. According to the video, it has to dry for 4 hours before the second coat. I let mine dry overnight. The second coat I did with a brush using random x-patterns as shown in the video. In both cases, they recommend working in 18in square sections. There is good reason for this in that you have to be able to see the wet paint over the dry. If the area gets too big then the new wet paint starts to get the dry look and its difficult to tell what has been done. This is a really cool product. I’ve included pictures. It’s easy to do. It does take a little more time to paint than regular paint, but the look is well worth it. Yes I recommend this product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product Hard to apply evenly at first, but I got the hang of application about 1/2 way through. Decent directions. Color is great
