Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by jimdandy overpriced cardboard
First off its way over priced. Second you need to use their overpriced tape at $10 a roll, which depot doesn't have. third it rolls up like crazy, lays flat if you put luan or hardboard over it. just buy cardboard it's cheaper and regular tape will stick to it. Very deceiving product.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Jamesy Tore too easily, will not lay flat.
The manufacturer recommended logo side up when I called them, which makes it nearly impossible for it to lay down flat due to the way it is rolled. Reverse rolling tended to rip the ends. Using an aggressive tape to hold it down to a new floor is risky. I decided to remove it and not use it since it posed a trip hazard when installed as recommended.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by LegacyFloors A MUST for protecting your hardwood floors!
I have used Ram Board quite a few times during the install of pre finished hardwood floors. Customers and builders alike have thanked me time and time again for saving their floors during the subsequent construction. Don't think about it, just get it. A couple hundred dollars will protect the major investment you made in your wood floors.

We bought a house, and the first thing we did was have the hardwood floors refinished. We then wanted to protect the floors as our household goods were moved in, the interior was repainted top to bottom, the chimney repaired, some minor plumbing fixed, new furniture delivered, and on and on.
We bought several rolls of Ramboard, seam tape (for securing strips of Ramboard to each other), and painters tape to protect the high traffic areas. It took a little getting used to handling the Ramboard as it came off the tight rolls and cutting it (we found scissors were more useful than a box cutter), but nothing really challenging. It is important to get a strong brand of painters tape for securing the perimeter to the floor. There are less strong types made for more delicate floors, but it won't hold the Ramboard from trying to recurl or to flex in strong sunlight (which will happen to a small extent).
Not tough to install, and it has worked wonderfully. It saved us from a number of dings just during the moving in, as well as normal wear and tear from the workmen. It's been on the floors now for two weeks and is holding up extremely well.
As the manufacturer says, it is reusable. You can pull both the painters tape and seam tape up without damaging the Ramboard. It is actually easier to use the second time around as its curl has been straightened out.
The vendor is extremely helpful if you have any questions, e.g., what to do if their seam tape is not available.
We recommend this project without hesitation.

I used the Ram Board to protect my Hickory hardwood floor while moving into my new home. I put cut it to length and taped it down with the blue tape. It is a little stiff to work with but it lays flat when rolled out and a little blue tape it added. I had it in place for about three weeks as even after the movers had finished, I had a garage full of stuff that I to move in. After I was through moving in I cut it into pieces that I can use to cover my woodworking bench when gluing up projects.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DanT Easy to lay down and provided very good wood floor protection during kitchen remodeling.
Since this came in a roll this was more convenient to transport and install than cardboard or masonite and cost per square ft was about the same. Did the job to protect new hardwood floor while various subcontractors came do their jobs. Was able to cut to fit floor layout with utility knife - no issues. Clean up was easy - rolled it up for disposal (could potentially store for another use).

The product rolls out well and installs quickly. It does tend to warp slightly, but not a significant issue. Since the product is rolled, the cut ends will "roll" up making it difficult for even duct tape to hold it down in some cases. Small nails do the trick if the floor below is nailable. The product is essentially heavy matt board, so general surface work is fine, but not heavy loads where dropping something could damage the floor below. The product does deteriorate if subject to ample amounts of water. Light wet areas are fine.
