Costs a lot but holds up really well. I bought a few rolls of Ram Board and a few rolls of the thinner floor covering for low traffic areas. There is no comparison though. Ram Board is really thick and holds up against all the contractors who don't care about spilling stuff, wet shoes etc.
Ram Board is definitely curly and takes a little bit of time to put down. If you're doing it by yourself the easiest way is to unroll it and roll it back up in the opposite direction to get the curly-ness out. I did have to use Gorilla Tape to hold each piece to the next.

We have hardwood flooring throughout the ground floor of our house. When we ordered a new refrigerator to be delivered we did not want the delivery to mar or markup our floors. This was the perfect material to lay over the floors along the delivery path. Delivery of the product was quick and just in time for the removal of the old refrigerator.

I used 2 rolls of the Ramboard protection on my new hardwood floors while moving. It did an excellent job of protecting my floors. I was surprised & relieved that it was also fairly easy to lay down by myself!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by RanchoRaymondo Great stuff for the right project
This level of floor protection isn't needed for every project but for me it was invaluable and well worth the cost. I was sheetrocking and finishing over 9' plaster ceilings on original (1923) oak flooring, using both a drywall hoist and scaffolding. Did a great job protecting the floor.
The edges have a light crease in them making it easier to fold up against the 8" baseboard. Kind of a nice touch. The only downside was convincing it to lay flat. It likes to curl up even when weighted down and duct taped. Minor thing.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by BrightNail Good stuff this Ram board
This is the best floor covering for protection of any floor. First thing you need to know is to turn it over it and it won't roll upon you. So just one layer is all you need. Sometimes a liquid will get through it, but if you clean it right away, you will save that $10,000 wood floor you just installed. We are rolling scaffolding over this so I will need a little Masonite at those areas. generally rolling carts and hand carts will go over it no problem. although I think this is the most expensive stuff I reuse it on project after project, till it is gone. then I get more.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Boater Great Rug protector
Very strong and durable material. Does a great job od resisting puncture, scuffing abuse from workmen in heavy shoes!! Stays attached to rug and does not move, comes up readily to reposition. Is a bit hard to get off the roll - plan to have scissors available to cut the material as needed. Works best if two people work together to pull the material off, hold the roll and cut it. Otherwise once it is in place it works great and worth the effort

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by walleyehunter top quality floor protection
Maybe not the easiest product for the typical homeowner to use but for longer term, top quality flooring protection this stuff is hard to beat. It is liquid resistant, easy to clean/sweep, easy to work over, easy to remove. If you have to work over protected floors, especially if you will be using a rolling scaffold, this is going to be hard to beat. It is expensive but you get what you pay for.
