I chose the shortest pin available to fasten a steel junction box to a poured concrete wall.
It took longer (and several pins) to get a firm fastening than it took to simply drill a hole with a masonry bit.
Both procedures were miserable, but the pin method resulted in many part-penetrations and many bent pins.
The pins appeared to be made of aluminum or some other light-weight material.

Worked great with my Hilti gun. Would buy again. The pins were used to attacha corner angle to a concrete wall.
