Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast way to anchor in concrete I used both the 3" and 2 1/2" nails with the Ramset Master Shot tool. The one with the pistol grip. Iused the #4 charges (yellow) and that does not always set the nail flush to a 2x4. So I used a charge of the #3 (green) for the second shot and it works like a charm. Sometimes a bit too well. No bent or broken nails and all are staying in place. Drilling a hole for a 3" Tapcon screw taks about 10 minutes. Too much work. The ramset is a real time and energy saver. Near an outside corner I do recommend drilling a hole instead of the Ramset nail to avoid breaking off the concrete at the corner. Builiding an insulated wall in the basement. For the footer I am placing about one nail (2 1/2") every 4 feet. For the 2x3 furing strips I am using one nail (3") each with shims behind to account for an uneven concrete wall. And two nails on the end pieces just to keep them ridgid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work great Not a whole lot to say about these: they pound into concrete nicely and are easy to use. We are using them while finishing our basement, and so far no problems.
