Attaching the pressure treated 2X4 to steal columns or securing flake board to the concrete floor, this gun worked great and saved a lot of time for me.
Since each surface of concreate and steel has different density, a standard guideline might not always work for every single scenario. I had to try it out first to see what works best. Once I gaged the power level I would need with the loads, I was flying through my task and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
On board power adjustment had been very convenient for me in scenarios of under-drive, instead of using a higher load; I just increased the power level. Same worked for over-drive scenarios. So start with medium load and power level and then adjust up/down.
As long as you use the right combination of the power, load and the pin, it will not under OR over drive. But then again, nothing is perfect.
Tasks I used to achieve with rotary hammer and SDS bits are now done by this single gun in fraction of the time.
It needs no charging or electric connection, a true mobile tool couldn’t get better than that.
One very important feature it offers is that I cannot press the trigger until the tool is firmly pressed against the target and that brings peace of mind for me.
Construction is solid and grip feels good in the hands. Slim carrying case offers sufficient storage space for my loads and pins. Eyes and ears protection is not just a good idea but rather must.
Overall, I am very impressed with its capabilities and how it’s saving time and cost for me.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Faisal Great performance and ease of use
It’s my first power actuated tool and I am all-round impressed with its performance and ease of use. Pretty much all grades of concrete have the ability to compress into surrounding voids so this tool was perfect candidate for what I was trying to achieve. I fired about 100+ red loads to secure treated lumber with a 4 months old concrete for my garage extension using 3” pins. No miss fires and most of the pins were driven precisely.
Once the pin secures the object, it isn’t easy to remove so make sure that the object is in place and aligned as you planned before you fire.
I really appreciate the adjustable power through a simple dial that makes this tool quite flexible. Three power levels, three standard loads (Red, Yellow and Green) and then the size of the pin are not the only determining factors how precise the drive will be. You also need to consider composition of base material, thickness of the object to fasten and even the temperature. Considering all, fire some tests, get the right options and this gun will deliver every single time.
Carrying case is nice, sturdy and has a pad lock slot. I love the fact that it will not fire until depressed against the target.
User Manual is quite thorough and provides great operational techniques. That’s a must read.
The kit comes with few extra parts, cleaning tools and eyes safety glasses.
I am all for it and highly recommend it.

You can buy the Hilti equivalent of this tool for $199. It's called the DX 2 and was released earlier this year. Far superior to the Ramset.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Texas HUGE time saver.
This is the one of the, if not the, most time saving tools I own.
When anchoring 2 by 4s to concrete to frame out a wall, I had been drilling a hole through the 2 by 4, then in to the concrete, and then using a concrete anchor. To install each anchor took about 3 minutes - drill the lumber, drill the concrete, insert the anchor, and finally tighten down the anchor. With this tool it takes me literally a second!
I used a 3 inch anchor and it effortlessly went through the 2 by 4, through the 1/16th inch metal bottom plate, and in to the concrete. Locking everything in place.
Operation could not be simpler. Load a strip of 10 'rounds' in to the base, add an anchor to the tip, press on to the surface to be anchored and pull the trigger, that is it!. After each anchor is fired, you cycle the cylinder (kind of like how you would a pump action shotgun) and the next round is chambered, just add another anchor to the tip and repeat.
This is not one of those clumsy tools that require you strike the tip with a hammer, this just needs a simple pull of a trigger.
I can't tell you how much I enjoy using this tool over the 'old fashioned' way. It is very fast, very easy to use, and works perfectly.

I recently purchased the Ramset Cobra+ for use in on-going projects. The Cobra+ is heavy duty and reliable, and also very easy to use. My only complaint so far is that the "red" loads for it (supposed to be able to drive a 2.5" nail into hardened concrete) are leaving about .25" of the nail above ground when driving into asphalt. I believe that upping to the "purple" loads will solve this problem. Overall, it seems to work as advertised.

I received my Ramset Cobra recently. It came well packed in a heavy cardboard box, and the gun comes with a nice plastic storage case. Enclosed in the case was the gun, safety goggles, spall guard, wire cleaning brushes, and some replacement parts (barrel retention clip and piston).
I had my last Ramset for 7-8 years, and my nephew is thrilled I got a new one because I told him he could have the old one which still works just as good as the day I got it.
This is a must have tool for a basement remodel. I used it for attaching the sill plate. Snapped a chalk line, laid down a bead of construction adhesive then laid down 5 PT 2 x 4's for a sill plate. With the semi auto feature you can shoot them in fast and know they're secure. 40-50 shots in 5 minutes and 95% of them drove all the way in on the first shot. For the few that didnt I just used another load on them to drive them all the way in. I have also used this to attach 2 x 4's directly to steel I-beams.
This is a great solid tool at a reasonable price for this kit that you will have for a long time. There's even room in the tool box to keep an assortment of pins and loads as well as the brushes and safety goggles

We used this when we restored the milk house on our farm land. It is a block building but the window and door frames all rotted out. We used the ramset to anchor the frames to the blocks. Worked great. Word of warning though, the instruction manual is not real clear on some things. I had to go on the internet and watch a video to figure out how to make it fire the first time. The manual was not clear. Once I figured it out though, the nail gun works great.
