Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 26 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by True time saver, solid construction Attaching the pressure treated 2X4 to steal columns or securing flake board to the concrete floor, this gun worked great and saved a lot of time for me for a basement finish project. Since it does not have a power adjustment level, I am using red loads most of the time. So far, I’ve fired about 60 loads with no misses using 2”-3” with and without washer pins. There were some that I had to hammer in about 1/8” but that’s expected since the steel and concrete density is not always consistent. Tasks I used to achieve with rotary hammer and SDS bits are now done by this single gun in fraction of the time. It needs no charging or electric connection, a true mobile tool couldn’t get better than that. One very important feature it offers is that I cannot press the trigger until the tool is firmly pressed against the target and that brings peace of mind for me. Construction is solid and grip feels good in the hands. Eyes and ears protection is not just a good idea but rather must. Overall, I have no complaints, at this price it’s a steal. How it’s saving time and cost for me gets my highest recommendation for extreme DIYers. August 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth the upgrade Bought the hammer shot cheap version and the capsule got stuck after only 3 shots. I took it back because I couldn't get it out and exchanged for the same one thinking it was a fluke. This time it lasted only 4 shots and did the same thing. I got my money back and purchased this one. This one is AWESOME! It worked great and was so much quieter!! I total recommend this one over the hammer shot. October 5, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Works as advertised. For the price it works great. I have ran 30 3" pressure treated nails through the gun. Using dry PT 2x4 i get any where from 1/4" - 1/2" of the nail sticking out using yellow shots. I follow up with a green shot to get it down. In the wet 2x a yellow shot buried the nail 1/4" below the wood. For the price and as little as I am using it, it is a great value. If I had a whole basement or need to use it daily, I would step up to the bigger gun. November 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Handy Man right hand Very easy to handle for an affordable price. Powerful enough to handle the job in both hard concrete and blocks to fasten nails through studs. December 12, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Overall a quality tool Despite what Ramset claims, this will not fully shoot 3" nails to solid concrete via treated 2x4's. Using Yellow loads, about 1/4" - 1/2" inch of the nail is left sticking out. It appears that the yellow loads are the strongest available for this model. However, I am able to follow up on the nail with Green loads to get it all the way in. Really not a big deal for me but this could be frustrating and a waste of time if I had to do this on a daily basis. Overall, the tool is built very well. No jams, fires consistently and noise is indeed reduced as compared to their older models. It's worth noting that 2.5" nails do shoot all the way using yellow loads. Would buy again.
