What type of power does this use 230 plug 115 ?

Asked by: Mhedman
Ramsond KCD-45/Ba 30A LCDI Plug. After some research I was able to locate the plug which is used in this scenario. The unit comes with a chord gfci protected 220 volt. Similar to a stove or dryer which is 30amp 2 pole breaker required. # 10 wire. The unit actually pulls 22 amps but the 30 amp breaker and #10 wire is required. An electrician is suggested if it isn't a simple replacement of a unit. New installation please get professional assistance.

Customer Reviews

Packaged Terminal Air Conditioning 15,000 BTU (1.25 Ton) + 5 kW Electrical Heater is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 4 years old now! I have worked for the Home Depot from 1998 to 2010. Most HD workers do not know of these units. It is a kind of niche market ruled by Ramsond and LG. When looking for one of these units you should be aware of the types of refrigerants used. Since federally r-12 is being pushed to be removed from the market. It is costly now to repair due to the price of r-12. With that being said I purchased this Ramsond R-12 15k British Thermal Unit Personal Terminal Air Conditioner Unit(PTAC UNIT). I purchased it four years ago and its functionality is still perfect. I don't usually review anything unless I have had it for some time. I installed the unit according to manufacturers requirements and local electrical code. I own a 1300 sq ft ranch home in Brunswick NY. This unit can keep my home heated in the winter and cooled in the summer with no sweat. I purposely heated with this unit to the end of November. My electrical costs nearly doubled to 300 /$ monthly. Not bad at all in comparison to oil heating at about 300 a month alone. The summer months were not as bad at around 155-220$ per month at the worst in August. All in all it is easy to install, extremely efficient and endures the test of time. Im glad I purchased this unit over a whole house system. I saved over 6500$ in comparison from the get go! I highly recommend this unit for basement renovation and if the first floor is open enough as mine is being a ranch setup. Well worth the cost of 1k$.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Hotel AC The AC does not cool the area and it produces a very high amount of humidity. Need to call AC man and it's only been installed for about a month.
