Product Overview

Rapid Set Cement All is a high quality, durable, easy-to-use, multi-purpose repair material that can be used for almost any type of concrete work, including concrete repair, grouting, anchoring, casting, underlayment and more. It is ideal when rapid strength gain, high durability, and low shrinkage are desired. Cement All sets in 15 minutes and is ready to drive or build on in one hour. Durable in wet environments, it can be applied from featheredge to thick. Cement All is a blend of high performance Rapid Set cement with fine graded sand. Cement All offers superior resistance to chemical attack. It is non-metallic and no chlorides are added. Cement All allows the repair area to be painted, coated, or sealed soon after application. Under dry conditions, water-based coatings such as latex paint can be applied after the product is hardened, which usually takes one to four hours. Solvent-based and impermeable coatings such as oil based paint and epoxy can be applied in 16 hours.

Does it need water curing?

I will be using this product to pour a 5x5" square support post footing.
Asked by: sandi
It would work, but I'd recommend using one of the fast set Post mixes sold at Home Depot.

Can it be used to patch a pool thats going to be painted

Asked by: stereo
Yes, just ensure the product has fully cured before painting. Epoxy and Acrylic paints require different wait times until they can be used on new cement based products. Epoxy is normally 18 hours and Acrylic / Latex is 1-4 hour when going over Rapid Set Cement ALL. However, make sure and check with the paint manufacturer on their requirements.

Can this be applied as a finish coat to stucco? I am looking for a smoother appearance than I get from your stucco mix.
Asked by: Obee1
You'd be a lot better off using a stucco mix and then use a hard flat metal trowel to get your finish!

10 lb. Cement All Multi-Purpose Construction Material is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 8.

This is worth Reading! The following is basic info you need to know if you are not familiar with how fast Rapid Set Products can set. If you are using this on a warm or hot day, there are a few key points to know BEFORE you get started. 1: If it is Warm or Hot outside, keep the bags of Cement All in the shade or better yet inside an AC conditioned space. If the dry Cement All is above 80 degrees than you are already asking for a short set time, the cooler you can get the mix (No, do not go to the point of freezing temps) the closer you will be to the directions set time. 2: Do not use warm water out of a hose. Either let it run so it turns cool, or better yet, use Ice Water (with the ice cubes melted 100%). 3: Do not use a wheelbarrow that has been sitting in the sun for hours, or even better yet, use a 5 gallon Home Depot Bucket and a paddle mixer. DON'T mix the entire bag or box, start with 1/4 of it if this is your first time! 4: If you followed the above, you can also add Rapid Set Set Control packets to the mix which will increase your set time. Do you see a theme here? The temperature of EVERYTHING will have a dramatic effect on the set time. One of the reviews stated even with the Set Control product added, it only gave him a couple of extra minutes. That was probably true, BUT when you don't properly prepare / ensure everything is at "cool-temperature", there is only so much one little packet can do. Not to mention taking the above steps will help save you money as you will need to buy less of these packets. 5: The addition of the Concrete Pharmacy Flow Control product basically makes the Cement ALL FLOW. It is really amazing how you can add a little pack (which looks like sugar but is not) to your bucket, turn on your paddle mixer, and 20 seconds later the entire product has totally transformed into more of fluid like substance. Besides those benefits, the really important one is the fact you will use less water. Water weakens the final PSI of the product a lot (obviously you need water to start the chemical process, but using the minimum needed will increase the strength of the product. If you placing Cement All over the top of existing concrete, thoroughly saturate the existing concrete with water, let the surface water be absorbed by the concrete, repeat, THEN you can apply the Cement All. If it is a warm or hot day, I would keep the area in the shade one way or another Before and After applying the Cement All as I have personally experienced the product lifting off and cracking when I did not do this. It appears when it is applied to a hot concrete surface, it may harden up too fast and not achieve a strong bond. Also, you MUST saturate the existing concrete with water, if you don't, then you are asking for problems. DONT FORGET THIS STEP. The water which is absorbed by the existing concrete will help create a suction between it and the Cement ALL. Rapid Set makes some incredible products and this is no different. As with most things, understanding a few key details makes all the difference in the world. Cheers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm an average joe & this stuff helped tremendously the day before hurricane Sandy arrived in S.E. PA. My back patio would naturally drain to where the corner of my house & driveway meet, but most of the water would seep down into my foundation vs down the drive way. I used Cement All 2 hours before Sandy's heavy rains hit us & built a sloped path away from my foundation & down the driveway & it worked perfectly. I put water in a bucket, slowly added Cement All & stirred vigorously, until i got the right density (like pancake syrup). Then I just slowly poured it by the corner of my house. This sealed the area & built it up so water drained more naturally down my driveway. Did all this during a drizzly/light rain with no ill effect. EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cement All I tried two other products to complete my front yard project. As a beginner, I was weary because neither of them did what they were advertised to do. So I tried one last time using Cement All. Wow! It worked just as advertised. It was quick and easy to mix and it set in less than 15 minutes just as the HD Associate, Jonathan told me it would. HD Associate, Toshia gave me some important tips. I took her advice and continued to spray the cement all as I spread it and it looks beautiful. I would recommend this product to anyone; beginner or expert. I'm buying more Cement All tomorrow for my next big project.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A REAL ANCHOR! I used this Rapid Set for two important projects in my brothers home. First he had a closet flange (holds the toilet down to the drain) that had been broken in a past installation and the concrete was broken away. First I installed a flange repair piece (available in plumbing) and then mixed the Rapid Set to fill the concrete void. The next day the flange repair was as good as a new installation. Then he had a front porch rail that wobbled like the others in his neighborhood. First get the old bolts out and clean the hole. Fill the void with Rapid Set installing the new bolts. The next day tighten the fasteners and the wobble is gone for good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product I used this product (Cement All) in a way it's probably never been used before. In Florida, they use Stucco-coated Styrofoam for house trim. On our house, some chunks of trim had broken off due to storm damage in various places, which looked unsightly. I was going to try straight concrete, but needed a primer. The vendor suggested this product, so I gave it a try. What I liked most is that I needed only the one product to do what I needed. The vendor suggested a ratio of 4:1 Water/Cement All, but said you could mix it heavier or lighter, whatever works for your project and whatever you are comfortable with. For my vertical pieces of trim, I was able to mix the product heavy on the powder making it thicker, which makes it slightly elastic in feel and a bit stickier. On the horizontal pieces of trim, on segments longer than 6 inches, I put some screws into the foam for added support while setting. I mixed it a bit soupier so I could pour it in a form I had made. Just remember: the more powder you add, the faster it kicks off. You want to make just enough for what you can do. There are a few things you need to do if you use it for this purpose or the intended use of slabs. Be sure to water the area down before placing Cement All in place. I used a spray bottle and sprayed the area with water where the trim had broken off and then poured the Cement All. Once poured, I checked it approximately every 5 minutes to make sure it didn't get too hot. I would spray again with water if the area felt hot to touch. The steps I followed were: 1. Clean surface of paint and grime with a wire brush. 2. Spritz area with water several times so it soaks in. 3. Use forms, if needed. 4. Pour or place Cement All. 5. Spray with water approximately every 5 minutes for an hour or until it stops emitting heat. 6. Remove the form carefully. As a side note, if you are using a wood form, try to keep it as dry as possible before pouring so the Cement All won't stick to the wood. Metal might work better. The areas of trim that have been fixed are now much more structurally sound than the original, so I shouldn't have any problems with those areas breaking off again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Does not mix. I must have received a different mix than everyone else. The cement never mixed with the water, even after 10 minutes of aggressive mixing. I'm glad it worked well for everyone else, but I will never by a cement all product again.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from It's OK used as ordinary cement I used this product to build a cement footing for a 2 X 4 attached to our garage door frame. It worked great for this purpose. I also used it to fill a crack that varied from 1/4 to 3/4 of an inch in our driveway. It cracked after a few days, so worthless there. It did worked for patching shallow pot holes in our driveway. I used it to secure concrete bricks to the top of my retaining wall. After 15 min. or so the bond was extremely strong. However, about two months later after some 80 to 90 degree weather, I put very light pressure on the bricks and they popped right off. So works OK in certain situations. Other than quick drying, I see no advantage to this product over traditional cement.
