We live on a corner lot and need to make a large post to protect our fence from big trucks that take the corner too close. Can this be used for posts or is it only good for patios, patches, etc? Thank you!

Answer:
Oh yeah... this stuff sets surprisingly fast, so you have to move quick. Very quick.
There must be a chemical epoxy as it is warm to the touch as it hardens. This stuff would be perfect to use for posts without question...you just have to worry about making sure you are all set up, before you pour the stuff. Again,...move quick.

Answer:
It's considered an 'anchoring cement'. I used it for a concrete 'repair', meaning I troweled it in and it set up nicely. I would say this would work for that usage, but I'm no expert on building concrete posts. It's entirely possible a less expensive product might do that job just as well for you. I'd run that one by someone at Home Depot.

Answer:
Yes Rapid Set Cement All can be used for all cement projects. Although for setting posts, you may want to use Rapid Set Concrete Mix. It is less expensive and is perfect for post setting.

You will want to use our Rapid Set Concrete Mix for posts due to the depth. Our concrete mix is an industrial strength concrete that reaches a structural strength in just one hour.

No. Dry volume and weight are 2 different things.
55 pounds is the total weight of the bag of product, which is printed on the bag and on this site so I would not be asking that. I am looking for the total DRY VOLUME of this 55 pound bag either in ounces or in quarts.
So, as an example, a 5 pound bag of white flower has a dry volume of 160 ounces or 20 cups or 5 quarts. On the other hand a 5 Read More

So, as an example, a 5 pound bag of white flower has a dry volume of 160 ounces or 20 cups or 5 quarts. On the other hand a 5 pound bag of wheat flour has a totally different dry volume per 5 pounds of weight because it is more course and does not compact as much as white flour, so the dry volume is greater than that of white flour.
This is what I am trying to find out about the 55 pound bag of Cement All product...the total dry volume of one 55 pound bag. Read Less

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by seems tough I used this product for a transitional slope between two uneven sidewalk blocks.its feels like it has plasticity like a sticky oatmeal.sets up fast due to the grout, and the bag states its around 3000psi.dries tan color.i would recommend if your repair needs something in between mortar and precision grout, price wise and strength wise. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Awesome fast! a rep from home depot was very nice & patience with us to show us how to use concrete mix. He mixed in a Home Depot's 5 gallon bucket and poured it in a wood square for post under my deck. It was very hot like 90's outside. Wow, very smooth & easy to mix for a short time. It was fine powder & off white color. Very fast to dry to become solid "rock" within 30 minutes. Whoa. It must be done asap to mix, to pour in ur project or it will be dry fast! July 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by amazing cement this product is amazing....pro desk associate recommended it....used it 1st time on a cinder block chimney with cracks and mortar joints missing...mixed small amounts at a time since it sets up very quickly, put it on with a moistened sponge and did entire chimney...looks fantastic.....looks new....easy to apply...set up real fast....greatest product and at a real good price....anyone looking for concrete repair...this is the product October 23, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by You better work FAST !! I just purchased a $20. bag of this mix.. It was about 78 deg. outside when I mixed it. After about 4 minutes in my cement mixer it turned to stone !! , I am now using an air chisel trying to get it out of my mixer...I think this was way to fast to set up.. Bag said 15 min. set time. It was well mixed and ready to pour when this happened.. October 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It worked great but it is fast So our first purchase ended up being a bad batch. It never set after 24 hours. The rapid set sales rep came out and verified the bad bags. Once we moved past the bad batch...the cement all worked great and super fast, and we even used the additives to slow it down. So make sure all the prep is done right...my countertops look great. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by very hard to work with This product sets incredibly fast , uses more water than the bag claims , and is difficult to float . I used it to resurface and level parts of a basement floor and wished i used self leveling cement instead . I wasted more than one bag of this expensive stuff due to set time and one unusual case of it ceasing up after i poured it. I don't recommend this product September 11, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by CEMENT ALL BY RAPID SET - POOR RESULTS I'm an experienced builder and purchased Rapid Sets CEMENT ALL product to top coat an old (but clean) concrete floor in thickness ranging from 1 inch to feather edge. Mixed it per instructions using 4 quarts of water per bag and a drill mounted paddle mixer. Also used one bag of Set Delay to provide more working time. I wet the old concrete surface and the mix trowel as expected. Water cured that surface for an hour as instructed. The next day, cracks appeared in the thicker, 1 inch sections. Tapping with a plastic hammer, you can hear the hollow sound in the cracked areas. The thinner sections had no problems. I'm now looking for a repair solution... The Rapid Set service tech could not determine how this happened. I won't recommend this product. September 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Strong cement for restructuring I used this product to repair a broken corner on a concrete porch. It was easy to work with horizontally and vertically. I mixed up about 4 cups of the cement and built up the broken corner. I am going to resurface the top and sides after the corner has fully cured, which will take about 21 days. After I restructured the corner, I braced it with plywood pieces to keep the cement from sagging while it was hardening during the first 24 hours. I misted it every 15 minutes during that day and a couple of times during the next day. Before I applied the cement I wire brushed any loose concrete from the area and used my leaf blower to clean the area. The instructions said to wet the surface but not let any puddles form so I had to do that first. You will want to have everything ready before you start because you only have about 3 minutes to work with the cement before it starts to harden. If you want a smooth surface, you can use a trowel and then broom to take off the slick finish. Since I am resurfacing, I wasn't concerned with the finish at this point in my project. If you have questions, the company provides tech support by phone. November 15, 2015
