For small jobs (one bag = 1/2 cubic ft) hand mixing is possible (though really arduous, as cautioned in the instructions for the product). Quick setting permit removal of forms soon after placing. A fairly stiff mix, finishing may require some care...broom finish may tend to "pick up" the surface too much. of a coarse broom is used to "sweep" the surface.

We used this mix to put in plastic fence posts. We were able to pour into the hole then added water and it worked fine. Can also be mixed in a bucket and poured in but it dries fast so don't mix it until you are ready to use it. Has a nice composite to powder ratio for multiple uses. This product also makes nice stepping stones if you know how to mold them. It can be painted and/or sealed with waterproofing. Not easy to clean once it sets but while it's still wet cleanup is a breeze.

60 pound concrete mix. I used the cement mix for small project of creating a border to contain
river rock from spilling over onto walkway steps. I used a 2 inch wide border along side the step and angling down proceeding step front edge of following step. This worked very well to contain the river stone in it’s place. Using the set control additive allowed extended work time as I fumbled through the finish and edge tool work. I am a dye once every two years or so concrete person. I would recommend the CTS Rapid Set products for the home user. It would benefit the Pro with the versatility, fast, slow, or flow. I also use the cement for setting 4 posts two were creative hose hangers and two were for a fulcrum
to raise a lower a intake line for watering from a creek. The last two ere deeper and I used the flow mix
with nice results.

I used this to set a metal gate post. It mixed well and poured easily. I did not measure the water ratio but simply added water until the mix was where I wanted it which was a little thin so I could easily pour it into the hole. Looks to have a good aggregate to cement ratio. The gravel was a fair size with none what I would consider oversized and it lacked real fine gravel also.

We used this concrete for part of our cord wood chicken coop. It is quite smooth and easy to mix. However, we decided after our first application in mortaring to use it as a second layer of the floor instead. It goes on smoothly and is very malleable when initially applied. The problem is that the drying time is so fast that it would set before we could finish. It was hardening way before we applied it all, even when we left it somewhat soupy. When we used the rest on the floor, we kept applying water in order to smooth it out. It turned out beautifully on the floor.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by blackfrog99 Very strong and very quick drying!!!
I used this to lay down a small area for my outdoor grill. I laid out the area, sectioned it off with 2x4 and used this concrete to pour the small flat area. it was easy to mix, and once ready, it is easy to pour and set in the area you need it in. After about 2 hours the entire area was strong enough to stand on. This stuff does not mess around. Its works just as it says on the package.

Regardless of it's intended use, I used this bag of concrete to set a post that secures my frost-proof hose bib out in my backyard. I dug a fair size hole to accommodate the entire bag. It mixed well and easily. I poured it in the hole and around the post. The concrete set quickly as advertised. It has formed a very strong support for the post, as I had hoped .
