Answer:
25.75 inches is the measurement of the handle. Total length of this shovel is 45.25 inches. Item # 2531800 is 25 inches total length and would be a good choice for a compact shovel.

Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 28 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent, strong shovel for hefty jobs I moved literally a couple tons of earth digging a 4x4x5 grave for my poor Siberian Husky, for whom I built a semi-large coffin from materials also purchased at Home Depot. I've had bad experienced with shovels before, with the handles breaking and the bases digging into the soles of my shoes, even workboots, over time. However, this shovel is super sturdy and has an extra wide place to put your foot so it stays comfortable even for big jobs. Highly recommended. Adding a pic of the finished product in the corner of our yard. You can see it was a big job. February 5, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Can You Dig It? When one's 40yr old rotten wooden handle shovel can no longer handle the big jobs, show those dead shrubs you mean business with this Razorback digging shovel. This shovel is sturdy and will make digging projects easier however the trade off for the sturdiness is weight. This will become apparent if you have much digging to do. June 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Shovel Needed a shovel to plant 15 trees and two bushes. This was the right tool for the job. Great quality and design. Knifed through the dirt, which had a lot of clay content. Handle very useful for leveraging dirt and for gripping when jumping on the shovel with both feet. Rajor-Back tools are top notch. Have a rake and another long handle shovel I used for mulching. Great tools. May 21, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Lousy product The blade cracks very easily. The metal is too thin. Any hard ground causes the blade to flex and eventually crack near the handle. My last shovel lasted three weeks. Just lucky they have a money back guarantee. Quality is sadly poor. April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid shovel I ordered this shovel because it has a nice handle to grip - something we need, but did not have, for digging on our farm. It digs into our rock-laden soil easily because of the pointed end and the handle, which gives the user more pushing power . We're very pleased with how well it works and how the design reduces the strain on the shoulders and back while digging. May 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Serves its purpose Great shovel at a great price. It's very durable and I have some tough hard clay but the shovel did its job without bending. Very strong. April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Solid Build, Nice Push Feature This is a well-built shovel with steel jackets over the spade-end and handle-end that cover & protect all but 9” of the full wood handle. A small, but useful design feature is that the spade is engineered with a flat support at the top that allows the user a small area to step on to push the spade down – with small holes drilled into the step to allow water to drain and minimize mud build-up. The height and weight of the shovel were perfect for me (I am 5’8” tall). The product name “razor back” might give the impression that the edge of the shovel will pierce most anything, and although it did an admirable job of cutting through some thick grass turf (with the aid of some modest foot pressure), it was not particularly effective at chopping through small tree roots (1/2”) that you are likely to encounter when landscaping your back yard. I will likely sharpen the spade to improve its usefulness for my terrain. My overall assessment is that this tool is built to last for the long-haul, and so it will be my “go-to” tool for virtually all my gardening and construction projects. June 29, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Spade shovel review Good quality / value foot feature keeps from slipping off. November 10, 2015
