Customer Questions & Answers

Will this work as a gravel rake?

Asked by: Butcher
It worked for me - 6 yards of 3/4 gravel. A little light and teeth could bend but was not my problem. A little light making for extra work to drag material but cost was very reasonable in comparison to a heavier duty rake.

Would this be sturdy enough to move river rock?

Asked by: DDaman
The head is aluminum and I bent several tines (they bend tight back) using it to rake topsoil. You don't mention the size of the river rock. I would say yes to gravel, but I think a heavier duty rake or hoe would be more appropriate for any stone larger than gravel'

Can this rake effectively remove seaweed from a pond or lake?

Asked by: SFath
This landscape rake is intended for use on land. While it may work well for seaweed removal, testing has not been completed to confirm this.

I've used an 18" garden rake for years to prepare soil for seeding or sod, it was always a lot of work, much of which was trying to get an even, flat surface. I had no idea how much easier and effective this landscape rake would make the task. I wish I had bought it years sooner. It is a great product, I highly recommend.

One star deducted for the black handle. A black handle for something used in the sun? Really? White duct tape to save hands from being burned is indicated. Otherwise, this is a nice light weight rake suited to leveling topsoil.

This was exactly what I needed to prepare an area after installing a retaining wall. Need to level the area and prepare for grass seeds. What would normally take hours took 3/4 of the time.
