Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mikifin best shovel I have ever had.
I use and abuse my tools. This is by far the best shovel I've used. It is incredibly sturdy. I am 6' 2" 265lbs. I wanted something substantial to step on when digging. It doesn't twist or bend and is comfortable to use. I have now worn-out and Home Depot just replaced the 3rd shovel. It has a lifetime warranty and I'll take advantage of it.

Big upgrade from the old wooden handled shovel. Lighter and sharper, and I like the big foot tread. Only used it on a couple jobs so far, but so far so good. Time will tell if it holds up.

This is one tough shovel.. It cuts through he ground like butter.. The part of the spade at the top has foot holds to stand on to help drive the shove in. Well worth the money.

I have been using this shovel for several months now and I really like it. The handle is padded for comfort and the blade has larger areas for your foot to push on, allowing for more downward force. I have cleared several large areas of grass from our lawn, one for a large flowerbed, and another for a small patio. This shovel makes short work out of clearing the top 4 or 5 inches of grass and roots. Handle seems very robust, and blade is thicker and stronger than most of the others I saw. I think it is worth the extra money.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by PeteinLongview Good shovel, needs stronger handle...
We had a wooden handle spade and I broke it in the hard Texas clay. I had hoped the fiberglass would be stronger as well as more forgiving than the wood. It certainly is more forgiving, it bends a great distance before you realize and release it before it snaps. Needs to be a bit more stiff to help break up the soil. Good design and works great.
