This remover has many uses, used to remove rust stains from driveway and kitchen sink. This product contains no acids and will not harm items used on. It took rust off fairly quick. You may want to use a brush on heavier deposits though. I would recommend this product for most household applications for removing surface rust. It is safe for the environment.

I purchased this to remove some rust from our concrete patio. It removed the rust with very little effort. I sprayed it on and scrubbed lightly with a steel brush. Waited 30 minutes and rinse off. The problem is that the rest of the patio looked dirty after cleaning the spots...so I used a diluted mix and spread over the entire patio and brushed with a stiff garage broom. Now all is well.

Tried this on three difference types of stains, walkway, wall and in the bath. We had to use multi applications on the walkway and still had a very fate discoloring left, but otherwise it worked well with little effort. The wall worked to best, just one spray and a light rub, we had a clean wall. Last was the bath and with the build-up water spots, age old drippy faucets we had some stains that cleaned up well.
Overall, it did everything it said, as not all stain can be completely removed as stated "removes most rust spots and stains". Now we just have to get rid of those water spot build-up.

This spray rust remover worked well for removing some rust rings off my vanity and tub (porcelain). It is thin and runny, so I had a hard time using it on fixtures but generally I found this to perform well. I don't have experience with other rust removers for comparison though.

We had rust all down the side of our house from a dripping pipe. We have white, vinyl siding on our home. I bought this product and sprayed it on and waited. Didn't even scrub or wipe it off. I came back and it was gone!!! The side of my house looks great now. I no longer cringe when I see it. Highly recommend it. Wasn't harsh on the siding either.

A lot of elbow-grease is needed in order to get the best results on most projects. However, if the rust hasn't started to build-up it will handily spray it away. We tried this on some rust marks on the garage floor and it did lighten them after much hard scrubbing with a scrub brush, but, not a substantial amount of improvement. I was able to spray and wipe away rust from a metal shower holder - but only some of the spots would easily wipe away.

Don't know why searching Home Depot website with the tag 'phosphoric acid' returns this product, since the label clearly states that it's a mix of OXALIC and CITRIC acids. Must be considered a "substitute".
I'm glad it's "enviro-safe", but it's worth virtually nothing as a rust remover on a vehicle chassis, nor on an electrical enclosure. A squirt and a rag used per instructions yields no satisfactory results. Had to break out the drill and wire wheel and go the labor-intensive route anyway.
Next time I'll just get straight phosphoric acid.
PS: I live in a very HUMID locale (S. FL)... does this work better in arid environments?
