Answer:
I used olive oil. That is all we had when our dog stepped in it. It worked pretty good too.

Answer:
Kitchen cooking oil works very well...just be sure to use only eatable oil for a dog's safety...most dogs will attempt to lick off the excess.

Answer:
Cooking oil will remove the glue. You'll have to work at it a bit, but the oil will coat the globs of glue and prevent them from re-sticking as you work it out of his fur. Then a shampoo to get the oil out.

Hi Jimmy,
I'm Travis from The Home Depot. Sorry to hear this about your dog.
Mineral oil will remove the glue. Be sure to was off the mineral oil with Dawn dishwashing detergent after the glue is removed.
Mineral oil acts as a laxative in dogs.
Good luck. Give the dog a hug from me.

I've got a rat issue on the roof of my house and I was wondering if these work outside, or if anyone knows some other good product to use?

Answer:
While a glue trap would work outdoors, we would be very cautious about using this method on a roof because birds or other nontarget animals could easily come in contact with it. We recommend a bait station instead.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy indoor/garage rodent trap. The large rat trap works great for mice. Caught several mice and a chipmunk in the garage. Three mice on one large trap in three days. Do not bait trap, it can make the trap less sticky. Cold temperatures will also make the trap less sticky but works year round in the house. This trap does not kill instantly so you will need to be able to deal/wait for the rodent to die. Keep cats/birds away from traps or they will try to get a free meal. July 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Dont buy! Tried old snap traps for rats first got away though they were to big so got mice traps got away, set four each kind and times about 7 or 8 times with each kind no luck so i bought these both traps were flipped over and about a foot away from where i put them one had some hair in it ! What a wast so far! June 17, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by DOES NOT WORK. The rat got stuck onto the product in the closet and ran out attached to it somekind of way. It fought off and there were no footprints. June 17, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by It got away I have poison, snap traps and now glue traps out, thinking that since they have already eaten the poison, catching them couldn't be too hard but I was wrong, I even bated the glue trap and the rat managed to pull his front paws and nose off the trap and get away. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Waste of time and money Baited this and set it out for a *chipmunk* which ate the bait and got away. I don't see how it could it possibly trap a rat if it can't hold a chipmunk. June 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Product Ever Just happened to be at Home Depot and did not want to make the trip to Lowe's for the Top Cat brand which Home depot does not carry. Have used the Top Cat brand for years with no issues. Great product. Figured all glue traps are the same. Big mistake. Went to open box and traps were all stuck together. Tried to separated but just ended up with a spaghetti mess of glue strings between traps. Now what. Can't set it down, trap in each hand with glue between traps. Tried putting traps back together but still had the glue strings hanging 12 inches down. What a mess. Jammed both traps back into box and put the mess in the bed of my truck. Will return all five boxes in the morning. Headed to Lowe's tomorrow to get the Tom Cat brand. Won't be that lazy again. April 17, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not strong enough I have mice that run along the ceiling in my basement. I tied 2 of these onto the electrical wires that the mice use as a path. (using tie wraps). I put a dab of peanut butter in the center of each trap. The peanut butter is gone and I can see signs that the glue has been disturbed; but no mice! I think they just pulled themselves out somehow. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not impressed I was hoping this would catch the rat that has taken up residence under my deck and in my grill, as he eats the top of my plants!! (Not to mention I don't want him there!!) I have not been able to catch anything, although I followed directions and put the traps in the paths that I know he takes. March 15, 2016
