Rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by seals hoses Even though it says it is a pipe thread sealant (and the previous poster had problems with that application) I don't use it for that. I use it under rubber hoses when attaching them to a hose bib with a stainless steel clamp. I seals very well, and more importantly to me, allows me to remove the hoses on my boat two years later when it is time to clean out heat exchangers, aftercoolers, etc. It can be messy and runny if you don't stir it up from the bottom, takes some practice to apply it neatly. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Worst Sealant Ever! Out of the can, this sealant was as runny as water. It was so messey, it just dripped all over the pipe, so only a little got on the thread. Most ended up on the pipe, on my tools and on the ground. I had to scrape it off my tools and the ground. When I pressurized it, all the air leaked out. This is not what pipe thread sealant should do. I waited overnight before pressurizing. I have had better luck with PTFE tape than this useless product. I picked up a can of Rectorseal Tru-Blu, and redid the job and no leaks with high pressure air. I had about 3 ounces of this junk left, so I just threw the can in the trash can. Unless you enjoy redoing a job, smelling horrible solvent odors and cleanig up a big mess, skip this and get Rectorseal Tru-Blu. November 9, 2014
