Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extended Sheet Rock Lift I have always been a do-it-yourselfer and done drywall patches; but never anything this big. We built our own 42x20 RV garage with a 12 foot ceiling. My wife and I got started using the lift and with the first four sheets there was a learning curve as with any new tool. The rest of the garage I did by myself with the lift putting 4x8 sheets of 5/8 fire resistant drywall on the ceiling and wall that adjoined the house. This tool is well thought out and sturdy; even with the extension. It is a terrific asset to my tool supply. It will also hold trays of sheet rock mud when I start taping and I can see it helping me put all the lights and ceiling fans back up. Like a tall table for me to use at the top of a ladder. Excellent tool.

No Customer Service phone/address/email so how do you order the extension lock that was not in the package. Speaking of packaging it reminded me of Ace Ventura Pet Detective cause the packaging was definitely destroyed. I would be ashamed if a package I sent arrived in this condition but what can you expect with the country of origin.

It saved us so much time and effort using this hoist to lift out drywall panels up to our 12 foot ceilings. I am so glad that we ordered this; it made our project much more manageable!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Deal for The Price I purchased this drywall lift, because it included the extension lift. I found other lifts at other sites that had optional extensions, but no one seemed to sell them. I am hanging drywall in a garage with 13 foot ceilings, so I needed the extra lift height. The lift comes with both the standard and extension masts, so you can go back to the standard height lift if you want. Purchasing rather than renting was a better option for me, because I am not doing all the ceiling at one time and have future drywall projects. The box is heavy if you have it shipped, so have a dolly to move it or tear the box open and pull the main pieces out to move it. The shippers had banged the box around pretty good, but it's a drywall lift, so cosmetics was not my concern. Everything was there. The instructions are pretty useless unless you have used one of these before. I suggest going on YouTube and watching videos on how to use the lift if you have not used one before. They are pretty simple, but the videos provide some good tips and one shows how to swap out the extension arm. I have been using 12 foot sheets of 1/2" drywall, with no real issues. A couple of things to be aware of. By adding the extended mast, it raises the lift height for loading the drywall. Unless you are really tall, it will probably mean needing a second person to help load the drywall. Otherwise you may be able to do it yourself. Once the drywall sheet is on the lift, one person can manage it easily. The second thing to note is that as you raise the lift, the cable pulls more to one side and stacks itself. At some point, the cable will slip down to the lower section of the shaft. This will cause the lift to drop a few inches quickly. It is a little unnerving the first couple times it happens, but you get used to it. Just make sure you are not stand directly under it in case it drops all the way down.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Home owner tool not professional I noticed the two boxes ups dropped off had holes all over it and packing tape trying to hold the boxes together. As I unpack I notice this lift is not anywhere near the grade of a telpro drywall lift. This lift is far from professional grade but still should function. The paint that they used on the lift was not equally spread. The decals were mucked up. This product is a bargain compares to telpro lift. USA telpro lifts are around 700 dollars. This one is a made in China. Anyway, reason I ordered the lift from home depot was of 10 percent discount being veteran but it did not happen like previous purchases. BMW I'm going to try the lift out tommorrow.
