I have one of these units that I purchased several years ago. I happen to be a plumber so I have a somewhat edge on the workings. One thing to remember is that when you are ready to light the pilot you must follow the directions of putting the control know on PILOT only. Then when you are ready to light the pilot you must push down hard on that control knob while pushing the piezo button that makes the spark for the pilot. The IMPORTANT thing is to maintain downward pressure on that control knob for about one minute AFTER the pilot is lit. The reason being that the thermocouple tube that is either in the pilot flame or extremely close to the pilot flame MUST be heated by the pilot. It will not be heated if the downward pressure on the control knob is released too soon. When that thermocouple tube is heated sufficiently the gas that is in that tube signals the valve to the pilot that it is OK to stay ignited. However, if that tube does not get heated enough, the pilot will not stay lit. In some cases there is a possibility that the adjustment screw, that allows the gas to the pilot, may have to be adjusted to allow more gas flow. That situation can be tricky and should only be done professionally. Also, as one of the others have mentioned, it might be necessary to bend the thermocouple bracket so that the tube is closer to the pilot flame. I hope I didn't bore anyone with this explanation. Try push the controller button right next to the ignition button and then press the ignition button.
Once the pilot light is ON you can release the controller button back to normal.

Answer:
It sounds like you may need to bend the bracket that holds the thermocouple so it's closer to the flame. If that doesn't work, or you're uncomfortable doing that, you may want to try their customer service line again. I hope that helps

Rated 3.9 out of 5 by 51 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by peaches I returned this heater because it was damaged. My gas company had mounted on the wall and he discovered the case was bended and a piece of the heated was broken. I was also charged by my gas provider the amount of $129.00 for installation that he had to take down, I return the item and ordered another one. If this one is damaged you won't have to worry about me ever shopping at Home Depot. June 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to install LP gas heater Needed an alternant heat source for VA loan. This heater was easy to install and fired right up. Low setting was more than enough to heat the space. May 31, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good heater The wall heater was fairly to install and operation was easy. It really throws out all the heat you want. May 31, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Wall Heater! Wall Heater is performing better than expected. Glad this new wall heater includes a fan to more fully distribute the heat into our great room at our cabin. Nice looking appliance. April 30, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by waste of money This heater does not work. To be more specific, the cheap components do not allow it to work. From Day 1, it would take 30 to 100 pushes on the sparker to get it to ignite. This continued right up to the point where it died. I suspect a really bad ODS. It finally stopped working altogether. Two calls to the manufacturer (well, the company that distributes it in this country, it is made in China) and it still does not work. I gently brushed out the ODS opening and hit it with canned air exactly as suggested by customer service. Still no operation. The irony is, when it was working, it far exceeded my expectations. It is an IR unit located in the cellar and although it heated the air down there minimally, the main level floor and even the loft benefited from the output (those few times it stayed on). I have it at my camp which is in a cooler part of Maine. I could not impress upon the Georgians how important it is to have this type of supplemental heat. The company offered a free replacement ODS to be sent to the local gas supplier for install. I decided to cut my losses and search for a better quality unit. Let the buyer beware; you have been warned. May 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Worth every penny!!! Bought this product on line and did an in store pick up. Everything went seamlessly and I was able to get in and out of the store quickly. The product works great and is worth every penny. Would recommend this product for sure. December 30, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Just what I needed This gas heater came set for propane from the factory. My plumber has installed many vent-free gas heaters and this was the first time he ever had to bypass the pressure switch function. He said he should not have needed to do so because my local gas company only delivers 3" WC of NG inlet pressure. By his doing so, enough gas was allowed through to light the pilot and fuel the heater. This unit heats my home rapidly and is exactly what I need when I lose electrical power during ice storms. It is energy efficient as well. December 29, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great! Before I purchased your heater I purchased a different brand from my local farm store. It proved to be nothing but a headache! I returned it for a second one and the same trouble. I took it back and drove to the Coldwater Home Depot and purchased the Ready Heater brand 5 plaque infrared heater. I should have done this in the first place! I could have saved myself a lot of headache. I have also owned a Ready Heater brand kerosene heater for years with no problems! My suggestion to anyone considering a wall heater purchase, do it right the first time! January 13, 2016
