Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pricey, but they do the job. This double niche was actually two separate niches that were designed to be installed side by side. I actually installed them separately and they work nicely in that manner. They are essentially thick plastic boxes that fit between your studs. Unless your studs are exactly where you want the niches you will likely have to cut your studs and frame in spaces for the niches. This is fairly labor intensive but worth the effort. The niches accept normal tile adhesives and the tile does adhere to the surface well. They are non standard sizes, so plan on a lot of cutting of tile to make the finished product look good. My tile man spent an entire day just installing the tile on the niches, but they look amazing. After all was said and done, I spent about $100 for the niches, another $200 in lumber, adhesives and labor to frame the niches and another $400 in labor to install the tile. Had I known this before hand would I have opted to spend $700 on two holes in the wall to store soap and shampoo? Probably not, but as a done deal, I am very happy with the result. BTW, I opted for the smallest size they offered, I actually think they could be a little smaller and still do the trick. I wish they offered a smaller size that would hold just a soap dish.
