Hello, and thanks for your question. This 36" x 72". shade trims to fit windows 18" to 36" wide, so 54" is too wide. The next size up is 48" x 72", so that would be too small also. If interested in custom shades, check out our Artisan line. You an also try out Easy Lift shades, which come in 60" wide, and can be trimmed down to 54", Read More

Hello and thank you for your question. Because all computers are not calibrated the same, and our eyes may perceive a color differently, it's best to see it with your own eyes. Having said that, we do have a swatch service if you'd like to get a sample. Please go to this website, http://redishadeoutlet.com/store/swatch.html, to sign up. Hello Cedars, and thank you for your question. No, this shade does not have a push button. It's corded, so it's raised and lowered by the cord. We have many products available, including the Easy Lift, which is cordless, and is raised & lowered by hand, staying in place where you set it. Here's a link if interested: Read More

Natural Fabric Corded Light Filtering Pleated Shade - 36 in. W x 72 in. L is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 75.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from sturdy shade These shades are made of a thick, sturdy, fibrous paper/fabric. I even tugged on it to see how easily it would tear; it didn't. The bottom of the shade has a plastic bar the weighs it down, keeping it neat and extended when covering the window. And it comes with a clip for holding the draw strings to one side when the shade is up. I bought the light filtering version, but really wanted more opaque or light-blocking shades (for privacy), but the "room darkening" versions were only available in black. I bought two for my french door and one for the front door. The shades worked well at both doors. The front door has been difficult to find suitable treatment for (magnetic blinds for steel doors have weak magnets and they don't lie flush against the glass to prevent someone from peeking through the sides). This light weight shade was just what I needed. No one can peek through the sides, nor can they see through this light-filtering shade. Buyers may want to know that the draw strings come together through the center of the plastic bar at the bottom of the shade and will need to be pulled to the side when the shade is raised (thus the clip that comes with).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love these! Got these for the kitchen since I didn't have time to get window treatments before we moved in. Love them! Super easy to cut and mount, and have not had a problem with them staying on (we stuck them to the vinyl edge of the window). I like the cords, as I cannot reach the windows over the counter to clip them up like the basic shades I got for the rest of the house. They are a bit pricier with the cords, but I really felt it was necessary for these windows. The color matches my kitchen well, also. They'll probably be up a lot longer than I planned on since they are doing the job so well and I won't feel the urgency to replace them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lovely These are a very lovely alternative to the standard Redi Shades which I also like very much. These are some sort of a thin fabric which has a slightly semi sheer effect to it, not a lot, just slightly. They provide good privacy even when the lights are on at night looking in, you can't see people, just Shadows. the color is a a neutral, somewhat of a slightly Golden Taupe. they adhere beautifully and have not fallen down although I have only had them for one day but I must say this is certainly an improvement over cheaper brands that are not redi shade.I will be ordering more of these and may actually use them as permanent Shades not simply a temporary solution. I am very pleased

I gave this product 4 stars only because it doesn't have the feature that it had before where they mimicked a real shade with the sliding up and down feature. There used to be a sliding up/down feature with a push button on it where it looked like a real window shade you could barely tell that they were temporary blinds. The shades look very nice, I like the light fabric feel better than the paper ones and the fact that it has a make shift slide up and down feature over the clips that always fall off or you can see them in the back or front.

Overall, I like the fabric, it was easy enough to cut to size, and the temporary shade works well enough. I used one from another manufacturer that I liked better and was about 1/3rd the price. It had a toggle button to adjust the cord and it did not have ugly red stickers or measuring tape along the bottom of the shade. I tried to peel off the tape/sticker, but it does not really come off, but all the more motivation to get something permanent, soon.

Just remember to use a really sharp utility knife. I have only had them up for a couple of weeks, but so far so good. They are very inexpensive and look great. I will only use them for the winter to keep the draft from our old windows out. (i don't want to replace our old beautiful windows). Really like the fact that you can raise them with the cords.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your money I bought 3 sets of these 6 months ago and all 3 are split at the bottom and falling apart where the cords are. I don't know why they stopped making the ones with the push button cords. I have several of those that have lasted more than 4 years but this style here is horrible. I know they're temporary but I expected them to last more than 6 months.

I live in a rental with flush windows that allow for an outside mount only. Problem is, the trim is very thin and I did not want to risk splitting the wood or drilling into drywall that would be my responsibility to repair when moving. My first solution was installing Redi Shade room darkening paper shades last year which have held up great but are a pain to manually lift/lower every day with the ugly clips. I just installed these corded ones in the Natural color in one room to test out and I love them. Look much more permanent and are easy to lift. In direct sun they are tan in color but as night falls they appear light gray so it may be bothersome if you want an exact match to your decor. They let more light in than the dark paper shades but there is still privacy when looking from the outside. At night the streetlights still filter through, so I will be buying the light blocking ones next to try in a bedroom. Will review those as well. The price is a little high in my opinion but overall pleased with the results!
